Chapter 2
I walked into my first class, the murmur of the students talking filled the room. I sat at my desk near the window, the light shining in through the clear sheet of glass. The murmurs gradually stopped when my History teacher, Mr. Jackson, entered the room.
"Class, get out your books." Mr. Jackson said. He was tall with short blond hair, his ice blue eyes creepes us all out.
Everyone walked to their places and reached out their books from their bags. I took my brown History book out of my cream bag and sat in my chair to wait for the instructions.
I heard practically all the girls in the class gasp. I looked at the door way and saw the most handsomest boy I had ever seen. He had shaggy chocolate brown hair that fell over his brown eyes and he must be at least six foot seven. He had a brilliant build, which his clothes seem to cling onto perfectly. Mr. Jackson also looked at the door way and smiled at the new boy.
"Ah, Kyle. Take a seat next to Jade for me." He said warmly but with a hint of authority. I sighed when Kyle grinned cheekily at me. Probably another player. I thought.
He collapsed easily into the plastic blue chair next to me.
"Hey, I'm Kyle. Would you grace me with your name?" He asked quietly. I sighed, what a smart ass.
"Jade." I said forcing a smile, not looking in his eyes. They some how reminded me of the wolf I saw... no, impossible.
"I just moved here yesterday, near Falcon Close." He said. That was near to me. I nodded my head slightly and listened to Mr. Jackson as he talked about Ancient Rome.
"Your talkative." Kyle breathed sarcasticaly, adjusting himself in his chair. I rolled my eyes and ducked my head so my hair was covering my face and began on my work. Kyle shifted nervously in his chair as the lesson went on.
The ear piercing bell rang at the end of the lesson and immediately most of the students launched themselves out of their chairs and out of the classroom without another word. I grabbed my stuff and walked out of the class room.
"Hey Jade, what lesson do you have next?" Kyle asked, walking quickly to catch up with me.
"Uh, I got English next. You?" I asked politely, although I couldn't care less if he had English or not.
"Yeah, same." He said, smiling slightly. I sighed, great.
I walked with Kyle closely behind me. I got some cold stares from a few girls but to be honest, who cares? I hate it when you walk with someone the opposite sex and everyone assumes you're together. It really does aggrovate me!
I stepped into the English classroom and sat down at the back. I liked English but I preferred art, obviously.
I grabbed my red English book out of my bag and nearly jumped out of my skin when I saw Kyle sitting next to me.
"Haven't you got any other friends?" I asked, a little rudely then I intended.
"Oh sorry. I'm stalking you aren't I?" He joked, although I could see he was a little hurt.
"Sorry, I didn't mean to be rude. I'm just not the sort of person who likes company..." I said, trailing off when I spotted Mrs. Kennedy waiting at the front of the class, tapping her foot impatiently. The class quietened down and took their seats.
"Thank you class. Today we are going to be writing an auto-biography. I hope you have brought your thinking caps." She said in her welsh accent.
I smiled to myself. I have been waiting to write an auto-biography for a while. I ducked my head and began writing neatly, making sure I didn't miss out a single detail. I was good at that, including detail. In my writing and my paintings.
Time flew by quickly and Mrs. Kennedy broke the silence by saying:
"Ok, now could you swap with your neighbour please." I looked at Kyle worriedly. I had only just met him and now he was going to know every single detail about me. I took his book shakily and read through it. I found myself engrossed in his work, he was also extremely detailed. His mum died when he was very young and he was a single child.
When I was finished the bell rang again. I handed Kyle his book back and looked him in the eyes.
"You have a very interesting life, Kyle." I said matter of factly. Kyle looked at me, his face was full of pride and he winked at me as he handed my book back.
"Thanks. So do you. I didn't know you were an artist. Maybe you could paint me sometime." He said, waggling his eyebrows. I rolled my eyes and sighed. well, what a way to ruin the moment. I thought.
I packed my stuff and made my way out of the class room and into the field for break.
"Oh Jade, do you know where the guys toilets are?" He asked, his face had a lost look.
"Oh right yeah, it's over... there." I said finding the door and pointing to it. Kyle followed my finger and smiled.
"Oh great thanks. You, you wanna join me?" He asked, looking me in the eyes. I moaned frustratedly and stormed away. What a jack ass! I thought.
