Chapter 7
I stared at my wolf in total disbelief. He came to my house! He had a hurt look on his wolfy face, if that was possible. My heart sped up, it felt like I had seen that hurt face before... No, not possible. He did kind of remind me of... Kyle.
I think I've gone mad! I laid back onto my bed, too tired to think. I fell asleep deeply and surprisingly I had no dream of my wolf.

I felt a stinging feeling on my cheek, then another, then another. I opened my eyes to see Cory tapping my face hardly. I glared at him.
"What the hell!?" I yelled. He laughed and ran out of the room, his laugh faded as he ran downstairs. Man, what a jerk!
I got up off of my bed and walked down the stairs, taking them slowly. I walked into the kitchen and slumped onto the chair, it's legs squealed as I tucked in. Moments later Cory joined me and dad came in with the dinner, putting the smoking plates of spaghetti bolognaise in front of us. I turned my nose up, I hate spaghetti bolognaise!
We ate happily, making long conversations. At times we laughed and giggled. We hadn't had a dinner like this in years. Cory left when it was his seventeenth birthday and now he was nineteen. I loved him to bits but sometimes he was a real jerk!
I went to my bedroom after dinner. A question popped into my mind though. How strange is it for a human being to compare a giant wolf to a boy? I mean, come on. It's impossible... Isn't it?
I checked my clock and it read 9:30. There was a book shop near by that closes at 11:00. Maybe I could check that out. I pulled on a jacket and walked down the stairs.
"I'm just going to the book shop. I'll be back in a minute" I called as I was about to leave the house. A strong grip held onto my arm and stopped me from moving any closer.
"What book shop?" Cory asked.
"The one near by, on Check Street." I answered truthfully. His grip loosened and he gestured for me to carry on.
"Be back as soon as you are done." He said just before I closed the door. I pulled my jacket tighter to my body as the breeze cooled and walked in the direction of the book store.
I walked down a dark street and turned left onto Check Street. There was a small shop named 'Pete's Legends'. The sign was faded and damp. I walked into the shop, the bell ringing quietly as I opened and closed the wooden door.
There was a tall and skinny man sitting on a chair with his feet resting on the counter. I smiled my 'hello' and looked around the shelves. There were many books in here, most of them were dusty and others looked brand new. There were different sections, each had themed books. I turned into a section named 'curses' and looked along the shelves.
I finally came across a book named 'Curse of the Moon'. It had swirly writing on the front and the authors name had faded off. I picked it off of the shelf carefully and held it securely in my hand as I made my way to the counter.
"Interesting book you got there." The man said as he beeped the tag and put it into a drk blue carrier bag. I smiled at him as he handed it to me.
"Thanks." I murmured as I left the counter and walked out of the shop. I walked home with the carrier bag in hand. It cost five pounds so it must be useful.
I entered my house and went straight into my room, dumping my jacket on the side. I pulled out the book and flipped to the first page.
'The contents in this page is not to be shared with people you do not know, trust or believes in this kind of legend. Inside this book is nothing but the truth and should not be taken lightly.'
It read. I flicked through the book, looking for answers and facts. It turns out there is a race called 'werewolves' or 'shapeshifters'. They have the power to shift into a wolf whenever they want. All this information (and more) fascinated me. What if this was true? What if Kyle was a werewolf? I guess I'll have to find out tomorrow on Friday.

I woke up, this time to my alarm. I got up lazily and rubbed my eyes tiredly. I turned off my alarm and got out of bed. I pulled on some clean clothes and went down stairs after cleaning my teeth. Cory was drinking a cup of coffee at the table.
"Morning." I moaned. I am not really a morning person, some mornings are better then others.
"Hey." I he said before taking a big gulp of coffee. I could hear it splashing down his throat and I grimaced in disgust.
I made my lunch and picked up my stuff when there was a knock on the door. It was more louder then yesterday but I knew exactly who it was.
"See ya!" I called before I opened the door. Kyle was leaning against the door way casually. I smiled as I locked the door.
"Hey." He said.
"Hey." I said back. "I want to talk to you at lunch." I said nervously, fiddling with my fingers.
"Sure, whats up?" He asked curiously.
"Nothing, I just wanna ask you something." I answered. He sighed frustratedly at my response. I will wait for lunch to ask him, I don't want to seem crazy first thing in the morning.
***
I sat on the bench at lunch time. Kyle seemed distracted in his lessons, probably wondering what I was going to ask. He sat next to me without a word. We sat in silence for a while but then Kyle decided to break the silence.
"So, what do ya wanna talk about?" He asked, though I could see the impatience in his eyes. I looked into them, the way they looked mischievous and mysterious. Like my... wolf's.
"You are probably going to think I'm crazy but I want an honest answer." I began. He nodded his head, signalling for me to carry on.
"Are you a... werewolf?" I asked nervously.
