Hiromi was sitting quietly on her room while waiting for some news from Tetsuya or Kaoru about her freedom, but no news had arrived yet. She was getting pissed off for getting herself into that situation. I was such an easy bait. Hiromi thought.  Then her doors swung open once more and who did she expect to stand there in front of her but the man claiming to be her fiancé…of course.

“Good morning sweetie. Had a good night sleep last night,” Kai said as he sat down on the bed next to Hiromi and giving her a peck on the lips which he usually does.

Hiromi doesn’t care anymore. She had argued with Kai since the day that she got there and somehow she’s getting tired already…she’s tired of it all.

Hiromi laid her hands on Kai’s cheeks and tears began flowing from her face at once. “Kai…please let me go. I…I’m begging…” But Hiromi wasn’t able to finish her sentence as Kai kissed her passionately on the lips once more.

“I…love…you…Hiromi. Please…stay,” Kai said with tears on his eyes as he continued to kiss Hiromi in between her words. Then he stood up on the bed and looked back to Hiromi saying, “Let’s go out. I’ll come back here in 30 minutes. Get ready okay.”

Hiromi just sighed and looked back at the window once more without saying another word.

Just a few more,,,just a few more days Hiromi and you’ll be mine. It might be hard for you to accept it at first but I love you and that would be more than enough to make this relationship work. I know it will. Kai thought as he leaned on Hiromi’s door, his eyes still filled with tears.

“Where are we going?” Hiromi asked confusingly as Kai put a blindfold on Hiromi’s eyes as he guided her up the stairs to who knows where.

“You’ll see. Just a few more steps,” Kai said with a smile on his face. He was indeed excited to be bringing Hiromi to his favorite spot in the whole world.

“But I’m tired already. How many more steps do I have to go? I want to rest,” Hiromi argued grumpily.

We’re almost on the top. Com’ on please,” Kai begged but Hiromi just plopped on the floor, not planning to take another step at all. “Nai! I’m not moving an inch,” Hiromi said, folding her hand.

Kai sighed but he grabbed Hiromi in the hand once more and began carrying her up the stairs.

“Oi, oi! What the hell are you doing?” Hiromi said as she was kicking her legs, trying to get away from Kai but Kai was pretty strong so he continued to carry Hiromi bridal style with no problem at all.

“If you don’t want to move then I’ll move you. That’s how important you are to me,” Kai said seriously and with those words, Hiromi’s heart started beating radically.

Why? Why are you suddenly beating so fast? Hiromi thought to herself confusingly. She doesn’t want to admit it but somehow, some way, those words got through Hiromi’s stone heart and it fluttered inside her like a butterfly.

After a few while, she felt her feet on the ground again and Kai took off her blindfold immediately saying, “We’re here!”

“Waaaahh!” Hiromi can’t help but exclaim as she saw the great ocean view in front of her. “Where are we?” Hiromi said looking at Kai confusingly.

“We’re on Mt. Shiro, my favorite place on Earth,” Kai said happily as he leaned over the barricade, looking at the ocean.

“Why did you bring me here,” Hiromi asked confusingly.

“Cause I told myself before that the only time I’ll come up here with someone else is when I fall in love and unexpectedly, that moment did come,” Kai said with a smile on his face looking at Hiromi.

            “Why?” Hiromi asked confusingly still.

“Cause this is my favorite spot silly. I didn’t want just anyone to see it,” Kai said with a giggle.

“No that’s not what I meant. Why? Why me? Among all those girls you dated, why me?” Hiromi asked once more.

“Cause you didn’t fall for me or my words. You never came after my money. I wasn’t able to trick you one bit. You’re smart Hiromi and I like that,” he said and Hiromi just smiled. “I know,” she said confidently.

Maybe…just maybe, he’s not that bad of a guy after all. Hiromi thought to herself.

Later that night Hiromi woke up to what seemed like a nightmare. In her dream she was already married to Kai but that’s not what she was scared of, she’s scared of the fact that in her dream, Kaoru also had a wife and it breaks her heart so much she ended up crying on her bed.

Kai, who was sleeping next to her that night, heard her sobbing and he woke up immediately and comforted her. “Hiromi, what’s wrong? What’s going on?”

“Kai, please, please I’m begging you to please let me go. I’m sorry if I tried to trick you before, I’m sorry if I used you, you had been nothing but nice to me. I can feel it, I can feel that you really do love me but Kai, I’m in love with someone else. I don’t want to be with anyone else but him. Please Kai, please…” Hiromi cried her heart out as Kai was hugging her tightly, shushing her.

“I’m…I’m sorry Hiromi. I’m sorry,” Kai said as tears filled his eyes not knowing what to say or do.
