Chapter 25: My Mistress and I

           Kaoru poured tea as his mistress was relaxing herself at the country club watching her fiancé and her friend Saki riding horses together.

            “They look perfect together,” Hiromi mused as she happily watched them.

            “I agree,” Kaoru answered as he watched them too.

            “Mistress, do you really intend to disobey your father about this whole marriage thing? I’m afraid he might not like it and disown you,” Kaoru spoke to Hiromi gently, clearly worried about what Hiromi was plotting which he only found out about when they were on their way to the country club that morning.

            “But how could he disown me? Isn’t my plan of turning our business a powerful conglomerate brilliant? I think the world’s business would bow down if these will become successful,” Hiromi said confidently.

            “Can I ask one more question,” Kaoru asked sheepishly.

            “Go ahead,” Hiromi answered.

            “Miss Saki knows your plan but did her father agreed to do business with your father and the Murasaki’s,” Kaoru asked confusingly and Hiromi looked like she was taken aback by the situation. Frankly she never thought of it but the fact that Saki is a father’s girl boosted her confidence that Mr. Ayuzawa won’t be able to say no to her darling daughter’s request.

            “I’m sure Mr. Ayuzawa can’t say no to her only daughter,” Hiromi said with a smile.

            Hiromi finished up her tea in an instance and turned to Kaoru once more saying, “Kaoru, do you know how to ride a horse?”

            “Yes mistress, but why?” Kaoru asked confusingly as Hiromi looked at him with a huge grin on her face.

            “Well it’s just that I want to ride but I’m not in the mood to actually ride. Do you know what I mean,” Hiromi said with a giggle.

            “Uhm I think so mistress. You mean you don’t want to handle the ropes,” Kaoru asked further.

            “Yep,” Hiromi answered in a childlike fashion.

“So what do you want to do mistress,” Kaoru asked confusingly still and Hiromi answered shyly saying, “That maybe you can ride it and I’ll just tag along your back?”

Kaoru blushed at the thought. He have seen couples riding a horse together with either the girl’s arm around the boy’s waste or the boy’s arm around the girl’s own when he’s teaching her how to ride. He had always fantasized about it but he never thought it could actually happen.

“Kaoru,” Hiromi called out his name. He didn’t realize he zoned out from the thought.

“Yes mistress,” he asked shyly.

“So shall we do it,” Hiromi asked him timidly as well.

“I’d love to do the honors mistress,” Kaoru answered with a smile on his face and Hiromi answered with a smile of her own.

They went inside the main hall and rented the horse, the gear and the outfit they needed and after a few moments, they were in the gardens riding. Kaoru can’t help but sweat nervously as he felt Hiromi’s arms tighten on his waste.

“So where do you wan’na go mistress,” he asked.

“Hmm I’ve heard their enchanted forest here is great. Let’s go there,” Hiromi said excitedly.

“Enchanted forest…is it safe,” Kaoru asked nervously at the thought imagining the forest is really enchanted and they could end up getting lost ‘cause fairies or goddesses of the forest are playing tricks with them. Hiromi probably figured out what Kaoru is thinking of ‘cause she ended up laughing saying, “Don’t worry. They only call is enchanted forest ‘cause it’s so beautiful there but it’s actually manmade so I don’t think any fairies will pop out and kidnap us.” Fiory just continued laughing and Kaoru can’t help but blush embarrassingly with what he thought of.

“So which way is it mistress,” Kaoru asked after awhile and Hiromi just pointed him the way. It didn’t take them too much time to get there ‘cause the forest is just near from where they were.

“Kirei! They were absolutely right. It’s gorgeous here,” Hiromi can’t help but exclaim as they wondered around the forest. The forest was field with flowering fire trees and cherry blossoms that all you could see when you look above is a cloud of pink, white, and red flowers. The field was covered with different flowers as well like lavender and chamomile and babies breath. It really was enchanting. They even had a small lake at the center, its water’s were as clear as glass you can actually see the bottom of it and how deep it was.

“Let’s stop here,” Hiromi said when she spotted a good view to enjoy the view and got off of the horse immediately. Kaoru got off of the horse as well and followed Hiromi near the edge of the lake.

“It is gorgeous,” Kaoru said with a smile on his face as he took a 360 degree look of the place.

“Yeah,” Hiromi said happily.

“But nothing here compares to your beauty mistress,” Kaoru added looking at her with a sincere smile on his face and Hiromi can’t help but blush and sheepishly look away.

Kaoru settled the horse and sat down on the ground enjoying the view and Hiromi shyly sat down next to him after a little while.

“Someday when I get to have a family I would love to settle on a place like this one. I want a huge garden like this, near to a water element like maybe a lake or an ocean with lots of privacy and a nice view so that I could enjoy it with the people I love,” Hiromi said smiling her heart out.

“I’m sure you’ll build a wonderful family mistress,” Kaoru said with a genuine smile on his face.

“I will need a good husband first,” Fiory said jokingly and added, “I’d love a man who’s a great cook and good with children. Someone who knows how to play a musical instrument. I’d love it if he would sing to me often. Someone who’s caring and gentle and sweet. Someone like…” Hiromi wasn’t able to continue his words as she realized she’s describing a perfect replica of Kaoru.

“Like?” Kaoru asked confusingly staring deep into Hiromi’s eyes and for some reason Hiromi can’t look away. It was as if she’s transfixed into Kaoru’s gaze.

“Like…you…actually,” Hiromi blurted out bashfully. She was still staring in Kaoru’s eyes as he started leaning towards her. Oh no! Is he doing what I think he’s doing? Hiromi can’t help but thought.

Kaoru leaned in closer and closer and closer and Hiromi just closed her eyes as she was now nose to nose with Kaoru but as their lips were about to touch somebody grabbed Kaoru by the shoulders and punched him forcefully on the face saying, “How dare you try and kiss my fiancé.”
