Hiromi can’t help but feel irritated seeing all of the chairs empty in that long dining table that morning with only the two chairs in the far left side of the table being occupied by herself and her cousin Tetsuya. The room was grandiosely massive, highly decorated in old English style furnishings, decorations, sculptures and paintings. Maids are standing by in the left and right side of the room while butler’s stood by the back and front side of the room, with Kaoru and Mr. Hiro situated behind where Hiromi was sitting and guards guarding each entrance door.
“Where’s dad?” Hiromi asked aloud to herself but Mr. Hiro was able to hear this and answered, “He’s in a business meeting miss. I believe it’s about the expansion of the business from restaurant to hotel and restaurants with Mr. Jameson.”
“And grandfather?” Hiromi asked further
“I believe Head Master is not that well. He probably got tired from the party yesterday miss,” Mr. Hiro answered again.
And as soon as Hiromi heard the phrase “party yesterday” she can’t help but think of “that person.” She knew she’d see him sooner or later but she never expected it to be that early. After all, she just arrived that day.
Tetsuya can’t help but stare at his cousin. He already knows her too well to actually know what she’s thinking with just one look at her expression, her eyes, and the way she acts.
“Oi, don’t think too much about it. You’re making a big deal out of it,” he said to her trying to wake her up to reality again. Impressively, it worked.
“Sorry. Don’t mind me,” Hiromi said and she continued eating.
Kaoru can’t help but notice the sudden change of attitude from his master again. He has already seen him fierce, happy, intimidating and weak but this is the first time that he saw her like that. It was worst than weakness. It was…vulnerability. And he knows, it all started from that party.
“Ne Hiro-chan, since school starts tomorrow and we have the whole day free today, want to go out and tour London with me?” Tetsuya was saying in between shoving spoonfuls of mashed potato in his mouth.
“Nope, I already made plans today,” Hiromi answered.
“Plans? What plans? You made plans before coming to London?” Tetsuya said demanding for an immediate answer and Hiromi just gave him a plain, “Yep.”
“Could you do me a favor and include me in your plans next time?” Tetsuya asked as if sarcastically.
“I can but I chose not to,” Hiromi said putting a smirk on her lips which made Tetsuya really annoyed.
“Ha-ha funny! Now what am I gon’na do?” He asked himself irritatingly.
They finished up their breakfast and before Hiromi could even stand to her seat, Kaoru immediately came to her aid; pulling the chair when she got up and putting it back properly in place as she got out.
“Mr. Hiro, call a car for me please. I’m going out. Kaoru, you’re coming with me,” Hiromi ordered and both Mr. Hiro and Kaoru were able to reply both at the same time saying, “As you wish ojou-sama.”
Hiromi waited in the main hallway for a little while for their ride to arrive and when it finally did, a chauffer approached them saying, “Your ride has arrived miss.”
