Hiromi woke up confused that day. She was in someone else’s bed in someone else’s bedroom and she doesn’t know how she got there until…
“Oh you’re finally awake sweetie. Good morning,” Kai said as he came up to Hiromi and gave her a peck on the lips. Hiromi, who was still lost in confusion wasn’t able to react at all until she finally realized what’s happening.
“You! How dare you kidnap me! Oohh you are so dead. I’m gon’na tell dad on you,” Hiromi said threateningly.
“Keh! Your dad already knows that I TOOK you,” Kai said emphasizing the word “took” and Hiromi looked back at him confusingly saying, “Huh?”
“I told him I took you away so that we could bond more with each other, that we’re going to Japan together and he was actually happy about it. He said we needed it. He also said he would never allow your plan. He already talked with Saki’s father and Saki backed out of the deal this morning. Our parents would rather marry us than to partner up with the Ayuzawa you see. It’s not all about the money you know, they want us to settle,” Kai said grinning evil-y.
“YOU TOLD MY DAD ABOUT OUR PLAN?” Hiromi shouted in full rage.
“More like he figured it out. He sent someone to spy on us on our dates and they reported to him that I keep going out with the Ayuzawa and not you. Seriously Hiromi your dad is bloody rich. Did you really think you can hide anything from him,” Kai said with a laugh and Hiromi was lost for words. She can’t believe her plan backfired. Now she has no idea how to escape from her fate.
“Hey sweetie, don’t look so dismayed. I’ll take care of you okay? And we’re going to be happy together, I promise,” Kai said as he sat on the bed as he brushed Hiromi’s hair, kissing her on the forehead.
But Hiromi wasn’t able to reply, she remained speechless as her mind is processing new plans to get out of her situation but as of the moment, she’s lost.
“Now go and take a shower. Our flight is in 5 hours,” Kai said as he stood up from where he’s seating again.
“Where are we going?” Hiromi asked confusingly when she was semi-conscious again.
“Well to Japan of course sweetie. I just thought it would be great to come home even once in awhile. It would be great to finally meet your family,” Kai said with a smile and added, “Just to let you know sweetheart, I’m glad it worked out this way. There’s nothing I would want more than to be married to you.” And then he was out of the room.
I’m sorry Hiromi, I’m sorry for lying but I assure you, this is the best for you. You will learn to love me too. Kai said as he was walking back to his own room.
…
“Tetsu,” Hiromi said as she called Tetsuya in the airport, her eyes filled with tears.
“Ei Hiro-chan, long time no talk. How’s England,” Tetsu said happily on the other line, obviously oblivious of Hiromi’s feelings at the moment.
“Tetsu, my plan backfired. I don’t…know how I’ll be able to get out of this wedding. I’m going back to Japan. Help me,” Hiromi said crying in between her words.
“What? That’s just…Hiromi, how can…” Tetsuya tried to say but actually not knowing how to finish his sentence.
“Call me when you get here. I’ll come see you,” Tetsu said and Hiromi just nodded and said, “Hai.”
She was about to put her phone back in her bag when all of a sudden, an unknown number was calling her. Normally she doesn’t take those calls but right now, she desperately needs help and she’s secretly hoping that the person calling her can help her.
“Hello?” She said as she picked up the phone.
“Hiromi! Thank God I finally got to you,” a guy said on the other line but Hiromi knows exactly who it was. She knows that voice oh to well.
“Kaoru! Kaoru! Help me, take me away from here. I…I don’t want to be with him…I,” Hiromi said hysterically but she lowered down her voice realizing that Kai could be lurking around somewhere. He just left her awhile ago to buy some water.
“What? What’s going on? I called to tell you that Kai is going to stab you in the back. On the day of the press conference where the three of you are going to announce the conglomerate, he’s not going to do it. He’ll go ahead and announce your engagement,” Kaoru explained, worried-stricken on the other end of the line.
“But that’s just it Kaoru. There’s no announcing a conglomerate anymore. My dad, he found out about my plan. It backfired. Kaoru, I’m going to Japan with Kai right now. My father, he allowed me to be taken by Kai,” Hiromi said crying heartily. She felt defeated and she doesn’t know how to climb back up again.
“It seems like…I might end up marrying him after all,” Hiromi said giggling as tears pour out of her eyes.
“No!” Kaoru said angrily on the other end of the line.
“But Kaoru…” Hiromi tried to say but she was just cut off by Kaoru again saying, “I am not going to allow you! I’m gon’na stop this. I’m going to free you from him I promise.”
Hiromi nodded as she wiped her tears although she knows that Kaoru can’t see it.
“I love you Hiromi,” Kaoru said heartfelt, tears starting to well up as well.
“I love…” Hiromi was about to say but she was caught off guard when someone spoke up from behind her.
“Who are you talking to,” Kai Murasaki asked confusingly and Hiromi dropped her phone inside her purse once more.
“Tetsuya, I told him we’re going back,” Hiromi answered convincingly.
“Why are you crying,” he asked again.
“Cause I told him my plan backfired. He understands me you know Kai. Unlike you my cousin understands that if I already made up my mind on something, it really doesn’t change no matter what you do. I told you I don’t love you, and that will never change. So even if we get married, I will only be married to you by papers. But my heart will never be yours,” Hiromi spat and she immediately turned her back on him wishing that her words would be enough for Kai to give up on her himself.
