"Damien, go and make breakfast." You ordered your butler. He bowed and turned to leave, his white hair swishing around his head.

Since your family's death, you had taken over the business. Of course, Damien would help every now and then, but it was going well. Damien had woken you up and gotten you dressed. Helping you into your corset, he tied up the strings and helped you into your (F/C) knee length dress. Damien dressing you didn't even seem weird. He was your butler and so he would do anything.

When you had made the contract with him three years ago, he had vowed to serve as your butler and avenge the death of your family. However, there was a catch; once the contract was complete, he would take your soul.

You sat on your bed for a while and looked out of your window. You had lost most of your happiness. You found it hard to smile and laugh, to sleep in peace, to eat normally and you couldn't even go one hour without the memories flashing back in your mind.

A knock came on your door. Standing up, you brushed down the ends of your dress and Damien walked in. Holding a breakfast tray in his hand, he closed the door behind him.

"I have decided for you to have breakfast in bed today, Young Mistress." Damien told you. You nodded and walked to the other side, sitting on the bed. You swung your legs and looked to the floor, remembering about that day. A tear welled in the corner of your eye, but you wiped it away, hoping that he didn't see.

"Mistress," he began as he handed you a tea cup. You smelled the chocolate contrasting with the distinctive Earl Grey. You took a sip and mentally thanked him. He knew that I liked odd flavours, although I never thought that any of my combinations were 'odd'. "today, you have a piano lesson, followed by a dancing lesson. After dinner, there will be various people coming in to try out for the servant job, seeing as I am the only one around here." He said that last part with a little bit of irritation.

You looked up at him and frowned, before returning back to your chocolate Earl grey tea. "It's not my fault that they are all terrible, you're all I need anyway. You're perfect." You muttered the last sentence, but of course he could hear you with his sensitive hearing.

Damien smiled and bowed. "Thank you, Milady. I shall begin to prepare for your lesson." And with that, Damien turned and left once again, but this time a light pink dusted his cheeks.

You sighed when he left. You didn't know why, but whenever he left you felt sad. You wanted to call him back in and see how handsome face, hear his soothing voice, feel his calling touch, but you couldn't. He was your personal butler, nothing more, nothing less. After a few minutes, you walked out of your room and made your way to the music room. You had taken down the pictures of your family, leaving marks behind on the walls. Sighing, your remembered that you needed to ask Damien to re-wallpaper the main foyer, but you didn't want to burden him with such a task.

When you found the music room, you pushed open the door and meant against the frame. You began to feel dizzy and lightheaded.

"Mistress?" Damien questioned, taking his hands off the piano keys and looking over to you. As you were about to walk closer to him to begin the lesson, you slipped off the for frame and couldn't balance your self, even if you tried. Just as you were about to fall, a pair of strong arms caught you. You closed your eyes as Damien picked you up bridal style. He sat you on his lap sideways and pulled out a small box from his pocket, resting your head on his shoulder. He opened the small lid and and tapped out two metal looking pills onto his hands.

"D... Damien..." You whispered, clinging onto the front of his tailcoat. He blushed a little before he stroked your head, telling you it'd be alright.

Tilting your head back a little bit, he opened your mouth and placed the pills onto your tongue. You closed your eyes and tasted the metallic flavour coat your mouth. Damien sighed and left you rest for a while. "You are so vulnerable with your anemia, My Lady." He chuckled a little. You weakly punched his arm.

"Shut up, Butler." You whispered, slowly regaining strength.
