In the morning, Mey-Rin had asked Ciel if they could have a ball, and he agreed. It had been a while since the last one, so 'why not'? Bard began on food preparations, Sebastian sent out invitations, Finny planted more roses around the gazebo -with the help of Damien- and Mey-Rin had called Nina over to make you a new dress, even if you had bought one already.

"This dress will be the best for attracting males! It will show the true beauty of the Grimm family! It wil-" You interrupted Nina's speech and patted her back.

"Just get on with it." You told her. She frowned and turned to her fabrics. After a couple of seconds, she turned back around with a bright pink dress covered in sparkles and pink bows. You waved your hands frantically. "No, no, no. Not pink or anything bright."

She growled and turned back around. After her hands flew through the air with needles and scissors, she practically threw a dress at you.

"What about this?!" She exclaimed, showing it to you proudly. You had to admit, it was nice.

It was a long, slightly puffy black dress with an illusion neckline. Where the fabric met your hips, a thick black ribbon created a border. You nodded and Nina helped you put it on. Mey-Rin smiled and clapped her hands. Nina spun you around once, before creating a frame with her fingers.

"Something's missing..." She muttered. She clicked her fingers and pulled a thick, glossy, navy ribbon out of nowhere. She tied it into a neat bow on your front, making the dress look even more stunning. "There! It's perfect!"

You bowed down to her and hopped off the stool.

"You know, you're even smaller than Phantomhive!" Nina slapped your back and laughed. You shuddered and stood next to Mey-Rin.

"Mey-Rin, I want you to have a dress." You told her. She gasped and looked at you, shocked. You looked back and gestured towards Nina. "I want you to act as a guest, not a servant. I don't care what the Earl will say to this. If anything, he'll allow it."

"A-Are you sure?" She stuttered. You nodded and lead her towards the stool. She stood on it, nearly falling over. She steadied herself and laughed nervously.

After half-an-hour of Nina showing Mey-Rin dresses, only to be rejected, she finally found one that Mey-Rin liked... well, sorta. She didn't hate it, nor did she like it, but Nina knew it was the closest that she would get, and so she forced her o keep that one. It was a deep purple with silver accents and an orange veil underneath.

"That suits you." You complimented her. She blushed and turned around, spinning the dress.

"Thank you, My Lady." She bowed and jumped off the stool.

"The Ball is starting in one hour! I hope you're ready!" Finny called from outside. He waited a while before knocking. "Can I have a look?"

"N-No! Males cannot see us like thi-" Mey-Rin fussed.

"Come in." You allowed him. Mey-Rin raised her eyebrows. Finny slowly opened the door and peeked through a small gap. When he saw you in your dresses, he opened the door and jumped in the room. Slamming the door behind him, he looked up at you both in admiration.

"You're so beautiful, Lady (F/N)!" He held your hands and spun you around. He let go and looked at Mey-Rin. "I've never seen you in anything but clothes that the Master orders you to wear... you sure are pretty Mey-Sama!"

"Don't address me like that..." She blushed.

"Finny, I would like Bard, Sebastian, Damien and yourself to go and dress in something a little more formal. I don't want you to be servants tonight, I want you to be guests." You messed your hair up a little bit before making it neat again. You were so nervous about the ball, it was unbelievable.

"R-Really?! I'll go and tell him straight away! Thank you, Lady Grimm!"

"Please, call me (F/N)." You told him. He smiled even brighter and hurried out of the room to tell Bard.

You sighed and sat down on an armchair, fanning yourself with Nina's clipboard.

"My Lady?" Mey-Rin stood in front of you. You dropped your head into your hands and groaned.

"Mey-Rin, what do I do?" You were trembling. Mey-Rin bent down and held one of your hands.

"As lame as this sounds, just follow whatever your heart wants. If you want Damien, go with him. If it's Master Ciel, be with him. If it's Sebastian..." You looked through your hands to see her looking down sadly. You squeezed her hand and she smiled. "then be with him! Do whatever makes you happy!"

"Mey-Rin, if you love Sebastian, you should be with him. I'm sure he'd say you looked stunning in that dress, you know." You told her, smiling weakly. She blushed and hid her face.

"I-I-I d-don't love Sebastian!" She claimed. You tilted your head and chuckled. You liked the innocence of this maid. Well, you say 'innocence'...
