"Where's All-C?" I ask Angel - my roommate - who just shrugs. She had soft blonde hair and green eyes.
She glanced at me and nodded down a hall that was coming up. "Down that hallway. Room 21. Second on your right." she smiled and strutted away. I was glad we both had art first and she wasn't a stuck up snob. She was okay, not too serious, not too crazy. She was fine. I followed Angel's directions and got to a door that said Room 21 over it. Walking in I breathed a deep sigh. Most people in here looked nervous just like me and were standing around waiting for a the teacher.
I sat down in the middle next to a girl. She didn't look stuck up or bitchy and she was nervous. "Hi," I say setting my books down.
"Hi." the girl said looking up at me with her blue eyes then back down at her book, her black hair falling over her face.
"I'm Katsa, you can call me Kat though." I say trying to break the silence.
"Bianca." she says shyly.
"Sorry I'm late," A guy said walking into the room. The room fell silent as he made his way to the front, six people following him. I noticed one was Jason, another as the black haired guy who had tripped him. One girl I had seen when walking around yesterday and the rest were complete strangers. The teacher was Mr Connin. He was wearing the same thing but a midnight blue shirt. "In this class we are learning about Creatures. That's why it's named All Creatures."
"Yay, animals." The girl next to me muttered sarcastically and placed her book down on the table. She looked up at Mr Connin. Mr Connin didn't seem fazed or annoyed by her comment. In fact, he seemed pleased.
"I think you will find there is more then animals Miss Trunle. In fact, this should be a whole new subject then what you're used to," Mr Connin says smiling slyly. He then smiled at us. "In fact, when I tell you what we are learning, you will not believe me," The room watched the teacher, everyone eye on him cause he had caught their attention in under two minutes. Impressive. "We are learning about werewolves, vampires-" Mr Connin raised a hand as people started calling out-"witches, angels and demons." Mr Connin continued and waved his hand dismissively.
"Vampires are not real!" Someone called out. "Neither are werewolves and witches!" Another called.
"Shut up!" Mr Connin called over the ruckus and the room fell silent. "Now, I may not be too offended, it's a lot to try and understand, but I'm sure you have offended your peers." Mr Connin says looking at the guys at the front of the room.
"What are you taking about? Vampires are not real." A girl shouted from the back row.
"Lucas." Mr Connin shut everyone up with one word. I frowned. Lucas? What? That's when the black haired guy stepped forward. His eyes scanned the room and he looked at Mr Connin for instructions.
Mr Connin nodded his head as if to say 'go on'. Lucas then turned to everyone. "Vampires are real. If they were not, then I would not be real. And I assure you, I am very much real," His eyes scanned the room again. Some scoffs came from the back and his eyebrow raised slightly. "I will prove it then." He opened his mouth and you could see two long teeth poking out from under his top lip, and when I looked closer I noticed that they were long, white fangs.
"Fake!" A guy shouted from the back. Lucas then looked back a Mr Connin and cocked his head slightly. Mr Connin twirled a finger around telling Lucas to turn around. When Lucas was facing us again Mr Connin pulled something out of his pocket. It was a switch blade. He pulled up his sleeve and then slashed his wrist. A crimson liquid shimmered over his wrist, the light catching his blood perfectly. Lucas went stiff and his eyes shifted colors, going from blue-gray to a blood red then back in a matter of seconds.
Everyone in the room shifted slightly and that's when I smelt it, it was the smell of freshly cut grass and new rain with the mixture of mint and metallic blood. It was strange. A strange growl came from a seat in front of me and Mr Connin wiped at his wrist with a clean tissue. Lucas stepped back and leaned against the wall, his arms crossed and his body ridged. "So, werewolves aren't real either are they?" Mr Connin says looking at the class. He then looked at the line and Jason rolled his eyes before stepping forward. "No screaming please."
Jason stood in front of the room and looked up at us with a smirk before his body changed, it was silent as his skin rippled. Seconds later a large wolf stood in the middle of the room. It was about two meters long and a meter and a half tall. His coat was dark brown with lighter brown pattern over it. He then changed back. I sighed in relief that he was wearing clothes.
"Should we continue?" Mr Connin smiled and shook his head. "Trent."
The next guy walked up and pulled his shirt over his head. "Oh brother," Bianca muttered rolling her eyes and some girls swooned or sighed in longing. I had to admit, Trent had a nice body, but he was a guy, like every other guy here. Trent rolled his shoulders ignoring everyone's stare before something in the air shifted and something made itself behind his back. White smoke moved and whirled before making feathers, each feather sitting perfectly into a wing behind him. He smiled showing his white teeth before letting the wings disappear, the white feathers changing back to white smoke and sinking to the floor where it faded away.
"Cassy," Mr Connin said and a girl moved forward and smiled slightly.
