'Certain Things' By James Arthur

"And there's certain things that I adore.

And there's certain things that I ignore.

But I'm certain that I'm yours."

The rise and fall of Klaus' chest felt like such a familiar and comforting scene to wake up to. The sun shone through the curtains, the sound of his breathing and the birds singing filled the room, and the feeling of us together.

I smiled in the remembrance of last night. The way we touched. I made a small noise as I stretched, causing Klaus's arms to tightened around me and he sighed.

"Good morning, darling."

"Morning," I greet groggily. I turn over onto his chest and he holds me to him. I giggle and bite my lip.

"You have no idea what you do to me, Harper," Klaus sighed. I hum and kiss his shoulder, tightening my arms around his neck.

"So, New Orleans?"

"Yeah. I love it there," I smile.

"I helped build it, you know?" he tells me.

I grin widely. "No way," I say unbelieving. He nods and kisses my nose.

"What have you been doing there?" he asks.

"A lot. There's a large group of vamps there that I hang out with. They helped me save a young witch from being sacrificed by her people. She was the only one we could save. Her name is Vina, well, that's my nickname for her. I know you would love her," I smile.

"Any friend of yours is a friend of mine," he smiles.

"Good," I smile and peck his lips.

"When are you leaving?" he asks.

"Tomorrow. I have a flight at ten," I sigh.

Klaus huffs and kisses me, "so soon?" he murmurs against my lips.

"Unfortunately," I sigh before pushing up from his chest and sling my legs over the side of the bed. I get up and walk over to his dresser. Klaus leaned against the bed frame and watched me. I gave him a look.

"Just enjoying the view, love," Klaus smirked.

I rolled my eyes at his comment and pulled a maroon long sleeved shirt from the drawer. I slid it over my head and it fell mid thigh. I find my underwear from the floor and put them on. I walk over to the bed, putting the long sleeve to my nose, smelling his pine scent from the shirt. I cuddle up to him and he wraps his arm around me.

"You look good in my clothes. That one time when you demanded a clean shirt at the breakfast cafe, when I saw you in it, that was the sexiest thing I had ever seen," Klaus admits. I laugh.

"Yeah, right," I scoff in disbelief.

"I'm serious. You fiddled with the long sleeves, you fidgeted nervously, your long messy hair," he sighed at the memory.

"Do you not like my short hair?" I ask.

"I love it," he kisses my forehead in assurance.

"When I first saw you, all you had to do was stand there and look pretty," I laugh out. He laughed with me, one of the many times I've heard his genuine laughter. I cuddled closer to him. "I'm in love with you, Klaus."

"And I'm in love with you, Harper."

An hour later, we finally dragged ourselves out of bed. We went into the kitchen and I began to make waffle batter, Klaus watching my every move. I found the waffle iron and began to pour the batter into it. The amazing smell filled the kitchen and I took out a finished waffle, making another one.
