I gasped awake, feeling my slit throat heal. That bitch! I try to help her and she slits my throat in my sleep. Couldn't really blame anybody but myself, I knew that it was going to happen. That's why I prepared. I feel that most of my blood has been drained, so I was starving and I noticed that my daylight ring was gone.

I stood from the bed, falling to the floor. my hand hit the hardwood and began to burn. I hissed and pulled my hand back. Fuck, is that what the sun feels like without my daylight ring? I hiss and pull my hand away. I looked at the back of my hand to see the skin was singed and blistered, not healing well from my hunger. My power was all over the place. I stood and saw my phone in the corner, with a spider cracked screen. She broke my phone too.

I walk over to it, being wary of the sun shining through the window, grab it and turn it on. I could still get to my contacts. I called Klaus and went into the kitchen, avoiding the harsh sun rays, looking around for anything that stood out. My keys were gone so, there's that.

"Love, I don't have time for this right now. Where are you?" Klaus answered.

"Wow, harsh. Cami and I's girl's night went a little haywire. She drained me of all my blood and took my daylight ring. I don't know where she is now," I explain to him.

"The pale white horse. She has it, she has Eden's favorite toy," Klaus hisses.

"Oh my God, how'd she figure it out?" I ask.

"She has a way of solving riddles. I'll be there soon, love."

"No, don't. You focus on Cami. She has what can kill you, I'm just in a tangle. I'll figure it out and you will go to Cami and snap her neck, alright?" I ask him.

"No, I'm coming to you to get me out of a tangle. You can snap her neck from far away. As much as I love you, you are a great defense. I'll bring a ring and some blood and I'll there in ten minutes," Klaus assures me.

I roll my eyes. "Fine. I love you, be safe."

"I love you too, darling. I'm happy you're safe."

We ended the phone call and I looked around the apartment. Not much was here. I found a journal on her dresser and began with that. I grab it and start reading. Was this an invasion of her privacy? Yes, but I did have a fabulous excuse. If she yelled at me, I would personally hit her with this book.

I heard and felt a glitchy knock at her front door. It was definitely Klaus. I opened the door and he stepped in. He handed me a new outfit and a daylight ring. I quickly got dressed and put on the ring. We head out to the car and I still have her journal in hand as I start drinking some blood bags.

"What's that?" Klaus asks.

"Cami's journal. I'm hoping that there's something in here that will coax out her humanity, although this isn't necessarily the way I wanted to do it. I feel like I'm reading through Elena's diary. It's hell," I sigh, flipping to a page. "What're you trading for the white horse?"

"A few of her mystical items of doom. I really hope you find something in there because you might be her only hope if I don't get to her first," Klaus hissed.

"Ah, no you don't. You can't touch a single blonde hair on her stupid head. A deal is a deal and I know I can get her back with the right trigger. Eh, or there might be nothing. It doesn't look promising," I claimed as I skimmed through the diary.

"I really hope so," Klaus slammed on the breaks and we got out of the car. Klaus grabbed a briefcase from the back seat and I cocked an eyebrow.

"Wow, what a businessman," I chuckle.
