Early the next morning, Klaus called me and told me that Freya had gotten something on his pain in the ass ex. Well, more rather the pain in the ass ex-girlfriend found Freya. Freya's witchy building was trashed but the only thing we could find was a letter and a compass.
"A forest of pine and a box made so fine. Come quickly. If not, then poor Freya shall rot. Buried in the dirt for all time," Klaus read the poem aloud for us that Aurora left for us.
"Well, if you dated her for her poetry, then I'd like to say that you have terrible taste," I say, looking at the compass.
"The woman is insane," Klaus stated.
"Does she have to punish us with the world's most unfortunate limerick? Is it not enough that we're forced to play her wretched games?" Elijah asks.
"Agreed. It's worse than watching a vampire try to be subtle," I scoff.
"Freya saw a vision of herself buried alive," Klaus noted.
"Aurora will do everything in her power to bring about this miserable prophecy."
"Let's go stop her, shall we?" Klaus asked.
We walked what seemed like forever in the bayou to the point where this wasn't even the bayou anymore. We were in a forest of pine that was cascaded with a blanket of autumn leaves. Beautiful but annoying.
We came up upon an old cabin, Elijah and I looked at Klaus.
"She's not in there. She was, I can smell her blood, but the stronger scent is due west," Klaus stated.
"You two track the scent, I'll take the cabin," Elijah ordered. Without another word, Elijah continued and Klaus and I went west. "And Niklaus..." Elijah turned to face us, "Whatever happens, you promise me."
"Aurora dies today," Klaus promised.
We continued on our trek through the colorful leaves due west. about fifteen minutes later, we came upon a fresh grave with a purple vervain plant sprouting to the surface. Beyond that grave, were hundreds of fresh graves.
"We're lucky that you didn't date someone entirely smart. She didn't put on a cloaking spell so I can feel her, she's over..." I trailed off when the smell of blood hit me in the face. Klaus and I looked to our right to see blood floating in the air above a grave.
"As you were saying?" Klaus asked.
"Shut it," I hissed as I walked over to the grave and focused my power, that was her alright. I took a deep breath and took hold of the coffin from underneath. I groaned as I thrust the coffin up, moving the dirt away from it. I set down the coffin on the side of the hole in the ground and Klaus opened it.
Freya sat straight up. She was wounded. Klaus began to help her up. "No. I got her. I can hold the blood flow back. We need to get to Elijah. Aurora is there, I can feel her," I tell him quickly.
I help Freya from the coffin and use my power to help seal the wound. Klaus and I hurried to the small cabin and opened the door. Klaus must've been listening to Elijah's and Aurora's conversation because the second he walked in her to her stop her games.
"Why? One brother's life to end another brother's torment? It's almost poetic," She laughed.
"The bullets. They're White Oak, Niklaus," Elijah states.
I grit my teeth. I pass Freya to Klaus, realizing that her blood now coated my clothes and hands. "Please, the three of you need to leave. Now," I order.
"You think I'd just let them leave, you stupid girl?" Aurora hissed.
"And you think I'd just let you kill them, you archaic bitch?" I sneered as I stepped forward. "Leave now!" I shout.
