It was a simple day for Marinette. Just like any other day.

She didn't have a lot to work. She got up a little later than her parents, then she helped them in the bakery that her family owned. After her shift was done, she worked on her designs. She was moving out, though.

At the weekends, she went out with her best friend Alya to see a movie or something. She was never a drinking type.

"You won't believe what happened, Mari!" Alya exclaimed as she stepped in the bakery, right at the moment her shift ended.

She dusted off her clothes and smiled at Alya. "What?"

"Nino just asked me out. And I can't even express how happy I am!" she squeaked. "I mean, I had a crush on him over a year!"

"I'm so happy for you, Alya," she hugged her best friend and smiled at her.

"Okay, we seriously need to get you a boyfriend," Alya stated.

"Alya, I'm happy being single," Marinette shrugged.

"Girl, you are already 19 years old. You need a boyfriend to kiss you good morning and to take you out on dates!" Alya laughed.

"I told you, I'm happy being single," Marinette shrugged. "Besides, you know I'm buying an apartment not far from here,"

"Yes, but moving out isn't the same as having a boyfriend!" Alya exclaimed.

"I agree, Marinette. You should get yourself a boyfriend," Sabine smiled as she approached the two girls.

"Maman, not you too," Marinette groaned.

"Well, when you move out, I expect that you get yourself a boyfriend. I want children when I get old," Tom added and smiled at his daughter.

"Papa! I'm not going to have children as soon as I get a boyfriend!" Marinette cried. "Also I think, I'm gonna be in the apartment for another week cleaning it up. So don't disturb me," she laughed.

"Okay, sweetie. But you should seriously leave now and go look at your apartment. Alya hasn't seen it yet," Tom smiled.

"Or you two just want to get rid of me,"

"Woah, girl. This place is amazing!" Alya exclaimed as she stepped in the room, looking around. It was a simple apartment for two people.

Marinette insisted for only one person apartment, but they convinced her to get this one.

She didn't regret it though. The view was amazing.

"I'm never leaving this place. We are offically roommates," Alya flopped down on couch, which was still covered with plastic for protection.

"If we are roommates, then help me clean these things up," Marinette smirked.

"Oh look at the time! I gotta go," Alya nervously smiled as Marinette just laughed.

"Go ahead then, I'll see you," Alya hugged her best friend as Marinette just shook her head at her best friend's attempt at fleeing.

As Alya left, Marinette turned around the apartment. "So, where should I start?"

Everything was still covered in plastic bags and she sighed. She put headphones in her ears and plugged it on her phone, then started the music.

She danced a little, while she was cleaning. It was only three o'clock in the afternoon, but she was kind of sleepy. She was a sleepy head after all.

She started by putting furniture on the spot she decided for it. Then she started ripping the plastic bags from it.

When she was done, she had still a lot of boxes to unpack.

"You know what? I'm just gonna do that tomorrow," she sighed. Then she realized, she managed just the living room. Bathroom, bedroom and kitchen were still there.

She groaned as she flopped down on the couch, wiping the sweat off her forehead. "This is going to be fun,"

Even though she wanted to put it off on tomorrow, she decided to make as much things as she could that day.

She unpacked the boxes in the kitchen, putting everything on its place. When she was done, she looked at the clock.

"It's already seven? It feels more than four hours of works," she sighed as she looked around the kitchen. "At least kitchen and half of the living room is done,"

She peeked into her bedroom and noticed her still not dressed french bed in the middle, a nightstand still covered in plastic. A closet stood in the left corner and a door that lead to balcony.

She stepped out of the balcony, looking down on Paris. She was always impressed by the view, even though she has seen it too many times.

A cold breeze messed up her hair. She pulled out the ribbons that tied her hair together and sighed. Maybe it was time for a change? She wore this hairstyle for so long now.

"Such a beautiful night," she smiled at herself.

It was kind of cold, but she liked it. She didn't have her blazer on, so she just stood there, with only her white shirt and pink jeans.

"A beautiful night, indeed," a voice startled her and before she could turn around, something was pressed against her mouth and nose.

She inhaled the aroma and she felt dizzy at first, then a darkness started pulling her in. She struggled, kicked and punched in every way she could, but there was no success.

It was her first day being an adult. She wanted a normal life, without complications. But hell no. Her destiny had something else in mind.

"Don't worry, my little princess, everything will be just fine,"
