chapter 8

** Peyton's outfit **
Jace's POV
       I wake up and look at my phone: 9:17 AM. I look next to me and see Peyton. I quietly get up and head to the kitchen. I grab pans and cook pancakes. I make them and put them on the table. I hear footsteps behind me and see Peyton. She drops hers arms and smiles. She gives me a hug and says "I don't deserve all this." ~ I nod and say "yes, you do. You're going through too much."
** 2 months later** I moved the homecoming day.
Peyton's POV
      I walk down the steps from school and head to my car. I get in and get a text from my sister: homecoming in 5 days! 💞. I text her: so excited. 😁 I drive to Starbucks and order my drink. I grab it and see a girl from my school. There's many popular girls;that there's lots of groups. We're kinda like enemies but make it look like we're friends. 😒 I make my way to the door when Angelique calls my name. I close my eyes and breathe in.~ I put a fake smile on and say "oh, hi Ang." ~ she "smiles" and says "do you have your dress for homecoming?" ~ I nod. I feel my phone buzz; it's Jace. // meet me at the shore at 7. I text back: ok. Angelique taps my shoulder and says "hello, I was talking to you."💁🏽 I look into her eyes and say "well, I don't give a crap." I spin around and my hair goes in her face. 😏
** 6:45**
      I finish fixing my makeup. I look at myself in the mirror. I look at my phone and see the time. Crap. I run down the stairs and grab my car keys. I get to my car and drive to the shore. I park my car and walk. I see Jace looking at the water. I sneak up behind him and scare him.~ he jumps. He looks at me and says"wanna get some food?" ~ I nod. We walk to Scott's and get a table. Jace says "hold on." and leaves.~ he comes back with food. I take a video and put it on my story: this guy knows where it's at. 😏 We finish our food and head back to shore.
Jace's POV
We walk back on the shore and I look over to Peyton.~ her eyes sparkle. I stop and Peyton looks at me. I smile and say "Peyton, I've known you for only 4 months. I remember when we first meet each other. You're such a big part in my life. You know I'm always there for you; when your down I'll give you hugs. I was wondering if you would wanna be my girlfriend?" Peyton looks at me and blinks. She smiles and jumps on me. She smiles and says "yes, yes!" I brush a strand on hair behind her ear and whisper" I love you." 💖 She takes my hands and says "I love you more." I pull something out of my pocket and push a button. My friends come out with a poster: It would be my goal to go to homecoming with you. I hand Peyton a soccer ball that said "homecoming?"
Peyton covers her mouth and nods her head. I take her into my arms and she thanks me. We pull apart and I say "don't thank me. I wanted to go with an amazing girl." 😏 Peyton takes out her phone and takes a picture of the poster and posts it. We walk into the sand and I ask one of my friends to take us a picture. Peyton wraps her arms around my neck and I wrap my arms around her waist. We get closer and we kiss.~ our first kiss.
