chapter 34

Julia's POV
I wake up with someone playing with my hair~ I turn around and see Mason. I instantly flashback to last night of me getting into his car and him bringing me to the diner. I look into his eyes and whisper 'about last night.'~ Mason puts his finger on top of my lips and says 'it was amazing. I enjoyed sow in it with you.' I blush and place my head on his chest. Mason continues to play with my hair and says 'you're different from most girls. You want to be independent.' I look up and kiss him. I say 'you're the only person that believes in me.'
Peyton's POV
          I push my way through all the presents in the hallway and see Alex crying. I knock on her door and say 'Alex, what's wrong.'~ she looks up and says 'why do you care? You basically yelled to the whole world that I was seeing Bryan!' I lean against the door frame and say 'I'm sorry if you think that but I was trying to help you.' Alex fixes her hair and drops her brush. She stands up and says 'help me? You think you were helping me?! Last time I checked that's ratting me out in front of people!'~ she grabs her phone and pushes me aside. I take her arm and whisper 'if this has to do with Bryan, you've got to tell us.' Alex pulls her arm away and says 'not everything has to do with him!' I shake my head and head towards the guest room. I open it quietly and see Jace sleeping on the bed like a baby.
I sneak in and take a picture. I tweet it and caption it; my baby.💛. Jace rolls over and rubs his eyes. I get up but his arms wrap around my waist and pull me down towards him. He looks into my eyes and whispers 'morning bub.'~ I smile. He leans for a kiss but I stop him.~ he frowns. He playfully rolls his eyes and says 'you didn't brush your teeth yet?'~ I nod. He tickles me and says 'but I wanna kiss my beautiful girlfriend.'~ he whines. I blush and while he was talking I kissed him to shut him up. He places his hand on my face and whispers 'was that so hard?'~ I kiss him again and a say 'get up lazy pants we gotta go.' Jace furrows his eyebrows and says 'where?' I walk pass the mirror and say 'a surprise.' Jace groans and says 'you know how I feel about surprises.'
Jace's POV
I slip on my clothes and head to Peyton's room. I hear someone crying~ Alex. I look in and see her leaning over her drawer and mumbling something. I wanna knock on the door but I know she won't trust me. I knock on Peyton's room and it opens by itself. I push it open and hear the bathtub knobs turn off. I sit on the bed and wait for Peyton to come out. She comes out and jumps. She throws her towel at my face and says 'Jace! What are you doing on my bed?'~ I stand up and say 'well, I didn't want to be alone so I came up here. Is there a problem?' Peyton opens her closet and says 'yeah, there's a problem I'm naked!' I lean against the bed poles and whisper 'well it's not like I haven't seen it.' Peyton gives me a death stare and walks back into the bathroom. I hear a buzz and see Peyton's phone light up. I pick it up and read the screen; Matteo. I hold the phone in my hand and see the texts. I began to feel like I've been back stabbed. Peyton comes back and says 'ready to go babe?'~ she looks at my hand. I hold out her phone and say 'don't babe me! Who's Matteo?'
Peyton avoids the question and puts her shoes on. I close the door and whisper 'who's Matteo? Peyton.' Peyton looks into my eyes and says 'nobody Jace.'~ I laugh and say 'nobody? So why is he asking you to meet him?' Peyton tries to grab her phone but I hold it high. Peyton tries to reach it and begins to cry. I lower the phone but Peyton had already left the room. I storm after her and find her in the den. I was about to step in when I hear her speak to Julia. She says ' I hate how Jace is so protective. He can't even trust me. I hate that.' Julia takes her hands and says 'Pey, he's just trying to see if you're ok. Ignoring him won't help. Trust me.' I knock on the door frame and Peyton looks up. I hand her the phone and she says 'you keep it if you really want to know what I do all the time.'~ she shoves past me. I take her arm and pull her into the nearest room.~ I lock the door. She sits on the bed and fiddles with her bracelets. I place her phone in her hand and say 'Peyton, please talk to me. I hate having a relationship where we don't communicate.'
Peyton's POV
I roll my eyes and say 'then why even have a relationship?' Jace furrows his eyebrows and says 'are you saying you want to breakup?'~ I stand up and say 'I don't know Jace? Should we or should I ask your other girlfriends?!' Jace clutches his hand and says 'why do you still think I'm going out with other girls?' Jace holds her phone out and says 'the rumors. I read articles and see pictures. But when I ask you, you say you're not. I don't know who to trust.'~ she cries. Jace walks closer to me and tries to hug me but I move away.~ he sighs. He sits in the chair and says 'I also read articles and hear rumors of you going out with other guys. But I know you wouldn't do those things. I trust you.' I lean against the wall and whisper 'if you really want to know who Matteo is, then I'll tell you. Matteo is informing me about Alex and Bryan. I just don't trust them together.' Jace stands up and walks towards me and takes my hands.~ he plays with my ring and says 'when I gave this to you, I promised myself to treat you with respect. I never wanted to argue with you.'
I look away and whisper 'I broke our promise many times.' Jace lifts up my chin and says 'we both have. I don't want us to have an unhealthy relationship.' He pushes me against the wall and kisses me. I hold onto his hair and whisper 'I'm sorry.'
