chapter 28

Peyton's POV
              I change into my clothes and Jace takes me into his arms. I look back at the bed and think 'why did I even come to this party?' Jace kisses my forehead and says 'relax, we'll just call the police.'~ I push away and say 'relax? Relax! Jace, Noah has been harassing me ever since we broke up! I can't be calm about this!'~ I storm outside and call my sister. I wait outside and hear Jace calling me. I see a black car and I get inside. Cameron sighs and says 'Peyton, you need to stop going to these parties. You don't know what could happen.'~ I roll my eyes and think 'I do know what happens.' I instantly feel a pain in my stomach and my lower section. I hold on to the seatbelt and Cameron yells 'Peyton! What's happening?' I close my eyes and mumble 'I don't know. 😭; I don't feel good.' Cameron spins the car and says 'we're bringing you to the hospital.'~ I shake my head and say 'no, I bet it's just a cramp. I'll just take a pill at home.'

** 1 month later **
Jace's POV
           I take a video of Peyton slicing her cake and right when she slices; she drops to the floor. I rush over to her and ask her mom to call the hospital. I pull Peyton closer to me and whisper 'keep breathing babe, for me.' I lay her on the couch and I hold her hands. The doorbell rings and I run to open it; the paramedics. They take Peyton and I ask to ride with them. The ride to the hospital was really bumpy and I felt like I was going to throw up (😂). They rush Peyton into a room and do tests on her. I call her parents and tell them where to come. Minutes later Peyton's family rushes through the doors. I walk up to them and whisper 'she's still being checked. I just want to see her.'~ Julia comes closer and says 'Jace calm down. They'll probably come out in a few minutes.' I sit down with my hands behind my head.~ I tap my foot. I pull out my phone and tweet: guys, pray for Peyton. She's in the hospital. 💗. My pocket buzzes and it's Peyton's phone; I forgot I had it. I see my name on it; my tweet and Noah's name too. I unlock her phone and see a bunch of messages from Noah; spams.~ I roll my eyes.
             The doctor comes back and says 'Peyton Coleman's family?'~ her parents get up. They talk and Peyton's parents come up to me and ask 'did you two have sex?'~ I furrow my eyebrows and say 'what no! I didn't want to rush our relationship.' Peyton's dad puts his hands behind his head and I get up and whisper 'are you telling me that Peyton's pregnant?'~ they nod. I instantly feel sick~ I can't take care of a baby! I pace back and forth and say 'did they do a DNA test or something? Cause that is not my child!'~ I point. Peyton's mom takes my arm and says 'please Jace, don't cause a scene.'~ I pull my arm away and whisper 'when are they gonna let me see her?'~ 5 minutes. I get up and walk to the room. I open the door and say 'how could you get pregnant? You're 17!' Peyton looks at me and says 'do you think I wanted a baby now? No!' I pace back and forth and say 'so who's the guy you did it with? Cause he's gonna have to take care of that baby.' Peyton wipes her tears and sniffs. She looks into my eyes and says 'Noah.'~ my eyes widen and I mumble 'that son of a b**ch!'

Peyton's POV
            Jace keeps saying that he won't be responsible for the baby. He says 'look Peyton, we're only 17. I need to live life more, you need to live more. You can't be tied down because of a baby. Get an abortion.' I twitch my nose and say 'an abortion?! What's your problem? You're not even the father so why does it matter to you?' Jace throws me my phone and says 'call me when you're done with this problem.'~ he leaves.
