When I woke up, I found myself in the same position before I fell asleep. The feeling of being finally completed by your mate was so satisfying and pleasant. For nothing in the world, I would exchange this moment for anything else. I looked up and saw my mate's face, he was still sleeping. Even with his hair all over the place and his lips slightly parted apart, he was still looking handsome. Never had I thought that one day I would have a mate like Ryan. Yes, it has been a shock since he wasn't from our clan, but why did we hate each other? Plus, no one seemed to have noticed that an Ignis member came on our land. That was definitely strange since Ryan wings didn't look like ours at all.

I slowly moved my hand toward his face wanting to feel him, but at the same moment, Ryan opened his eyes as I rapidly retracted my hand. His eyes were unfocused and after a moment, when he could really see me, he smiled. I smiled back, happy that yesterday wasn't a dream.

"Good morning." he greeted, his voice still hoarse.

"Morning." I said smiling, but before we could day anything else, someone coughed.

Ryan retracted his wings and when I looked up, Sebastian was there looking at us with a frown. I didn't really know what to do, so I just gave him a smile and shy smile.

"I'm not going to pass any comments about what happened last night." He sighed. "But! You two get your asses up, we leave in ten minutes!" he said before walking away.

So, he did notice... Of course, he would, it wasn't like I was trying to hold back my moans yesterday. Even knowing these facts, I was still blushing from head to toe and hid my face on Ryan's chest. That was when I heard him chuckle, if I wasn't this close to him, I may not have heard it. He then put his face into my neck and I heard him inhale before biting me. I yelped and pushed him away while glaring at him.

"Let's get up before Sebastian comes back and ground at us again..." I sighed not happy to have to let him go.

I reluctantly got out of his arms and sat up. I yawned and stretched my arms at the same time, but suddenly, something pulled me back down by the waist. I let out a small shout of surprise and closed my eyes. I heard someone move before small kisses landed on the lower half of my face and neck. I opened my eyes and saw Ryan's over me like last night. Thinking about last night made me blush and completely gaping.

"Close you mouth or maybe I shall fill it with something?" he proposed with an eyebrow up and his eyes glinted dangerously.

"..." I tried to answer, but my mouth would just open and close.

"FIVE MINUTES!" shouted Sebastian angrily from outside.

"We should get ready." sighed Ryan, but before he got off me, he gave me a kiss and in a blink of eyes, he was gone to dress up letting me all alone and naked.

Snapping out of my trance, I stood up and looked for my clothes. When I spotted it, I immediately got dressed up more and more aware that I was in my baby suit. Ready, I went outside of the cave and saw Sebastian already cooking some meat on the fire camp.

"I thought we were going in five minutes?" I asked to my friend confused.

"After eating we will or how will I got you two out of bed?" he said continuing to cook. "By the way, could you go to the lake again? I used all our water to wash the meat."

"Yeah, of course." I said while taking the gourds.

"I'm coming with you." my mate said as he extended his wings.

I understood what he meant, so I ran into his arms. With all three gourds in my arms, Ryan took me in his and in a matter of seconds, we were already in the sky. I enjoy flying very much, but I happened to like it more flying in Ryan's arms, it made me feel less lonely. I smiled and leaned into his touch as he landed safely.

"Thank you, Ryan!" I said smiling. "I'll be quick!" I ran toward the lake.

Humming, I opened the gourds and started to fill it one by one. Finished, I walked back to my mate, but I couldn't find him anywhere. I shouted his name, but there was no answer. Did he go back first? If yes, it would have been great if he told me first. Angry, I started to walk back. Half-way, I heard a sound behind me.

"Ryan is that you?" I hopefully asked.

Therefore, I didn't obtain any answer, so I walked toward the origin of the sound. My curiosity was soon replaced with fear as soon as I saw what made the sound. Behind all the bushes and leaves there was a Shadow Howler!

Shit, I didn't have my bow with me. Think Keith, what should we do if we encounter a Shadow Howler?

Escape.

In moments like this, I really hope my wings would magically pop out. I was dead, it was impossible for me to run faster than this creature. The only way so many people escaped from those was because they all had wings!

Slowly, I took a step back watching the animal action. Nothing, so I continued to go backward slowly, never doing a rash movement. However on my tenth step, the Shadow Howler started to growl and I immediately stopped. I was sweating like a waterfall and hoping Sebastian or Ryan would notice that I was taking too long to come back. The wolf looking like animal started to move forward always growling with saliva drooling from his mouth. Damn does it looked hungry and I was his meal.

I gulped, ready to run at any moment. However in a blink of eyes, he was already on top of me barring his teeth. Scared, I screamed and called for help. I guessed all these noises excited the animal as he barked and aimed for my throat.

Fortunately, I ducked aside. His teeth only missing me millimeters away from my throat. I tried to push the body away from me, but damn was it heavy, so I kicked it from the sides. That seemed to work, so I kicked it again, multiple time before the Shadow Howler was completely off me.

Without looking behind, I ran off. I ran like never before. I didn't even dare to look behind since I was convinced that it was chasing me. For a second, I was relieved when I saw a small trail of smoke coming out of on top of the trees, meaning I was close to the camp.

"SEBASTIAN! RYAN! HELP!!!" I shouted as loud as I could always running.

Running for my life, I was relieved when I finally saw Sebastian with his sword already in hand, but no Ryan. Without knowing I had slowed down a bit, but that was enough for the Shadow Howler to get my leg in his mouth. I screamed in pain as I felt down. Shit! And I was so close! The animal chewed on my leg like it was a toy and each time, his teeth were going deeper into my legs.

"RYAN!!! HELP, PLEASE!" I shouted more desperate as a big pool of blood appeared under me and I started to feel light-headed.

The pain in my leg started to dissipate and I was feeling drowsy. I not only tried to fight the wolf away, but also the sleep clouding my mind. Ryan... Please, Ryan, save me. Don't go away, don't let me go away. You promised to protect me... Ryan, my mate...
