At first, I was walking toward Ryan's office, but as I went, I found myself walking faster and faster until I was running. Finally, in front of the door, I was panting and struggled to regain my breath before knocking on the door and entering the room.

I poked my head inside and saw both twins looking at me. I slowly entered the room feeling more and more nervous by the seconds. As I sat down on a chair in front of Ryan and next to Zack, I gulped. My hands were all sweaty and trembling.

Oh God, please be a good new.

"As I was saying to Ryan, we finally found what actually was the parasite blocking your wings to come out," I nodded inciting him to continue. "It is a symbiotic substance that once in someone's body, it'll take control of the nerves giving information to the wings," he explained looking at Ryan then at me. "This parasite wasn't made to stay this long inside someone without permanent damage."

"So... Did you? You know..." I shyly asked scared to know what he was going to answer.

"Unfortunately..." when he said those words, I dreaded the worst and looked at my mate, but he didn't look as shocked as me. D-did he knew that I-I would... "We didn't find an antidote that will make your transition without excruciating pain... I'm sorry." he apologized to me as I blankly looked at him not understanding what he just said.

"H-huh?" I frowned my eyebrows and I looked around from face to face.

"Keith, you can have your wings back..." Zack gently repeated softly as my vision started to blurry.

"T-thank you so much!!!" I threw myself to hug my mate's twin brother. "Thank you, thank you... Thank... y-you..." I sobbed in his chest as his body went rigid before softening up and patted my head.

Soon, my feet didn't touch the ground anymore and when I turned my head, I saw my mate smiling softly to me. "R-Ryan, I'm g-getting m-my wings b-back!" I hugged his neck hard as I tried to control my sobs.

"Calm down now and listen to everything Zack has to tell you." he gently stroke my back as I nodded.

"Like I said, it'll be painful that is why I'll be there to oversee it. But don't worry, we will put you to sleep soon after you drank the potion. It'll at least lessen the pain and if it doesn't work, there's is another method, but these are details." Zack explained as he took out a small container and put it on the table.

"This is the potion?" asked my mate as he took it and looked at it.

"Yeah, if this work well, we will try to enhance it, so people like your mate won't have to live like that," explained Zack as he sighed rubbing his eyes.

"Tired?"

"Yeah, I didn't sleep much. Since we didn't know when it would be too late, we did as fast as we can. And contact me before taking the potion, so we can make an arrangement," Zack finished with a yawn as he hid it behind his hand as he stood up.

I turned around, "Thank you, Zack. I don't know how many time I have to say it, but thanks," I thanked before he could go away.

"You're welcome, Keith. And don't worry too much about it, since we both gain something for it."

I nodded as he left the room. I was left alone with my mate and I still refused to let him go. I was comfortable now with my arms around his neck and legs around his waist.

We stayed silent before Ryan broke the comfortable silent, "Should we go back?"

"Yeah," I nodded.

"Then, let go."

"I don't wanna..." I held him even harder.

I heard him sigh and to my surprise, he sat up and put one of his arms under my butt to keep me from falling. He walked with me clinging to me like a baby monkey. While thinking about it, I must be heavy, but Ryan didn't seem to mind my weight... Or was it because I was heavy and that's why he told me to get off?!

I blushed harder and held him tighter.

"What's wrong?" he asked slowing his pace.

I hesitated to ask him... Should I? Should I not? "Ummm, am I... heavy?" I mumbled the last part blushing again.

As I looked at him with the corner of my eyes, he didn't stop staring at me confusion washing through him.

"If you're asking if you're fat, no. In fact, you're very light even with all those curves..." he touched some part of my body to prove his point. "I hope you're eating properly. Are you?" He said the last sentence with seriousness.

I blushed at his words I'm light even with those curves?? I started pouting, "Yes, I am eating properly... you stupid," I mumbled the last part as I hid my face in his chest, so he couldn't really hear.

He made a strange sound as he opened the door as our guests as well as the noise greeted us. Then everything stopped. No more noises.

"What's wrong with Keith?" asked my mother as the others stared at me.

"He's only tired, it has been a big day for him," answered my mate for me, glad that he didn't give them much more details.

Not that I didn't want them to know, but I didn't want them to worry too much, I had enough stress like that.

Some hours later, the last guest finally left and we both sighed in relief. It was fun, but Ryan was agreeing with me that we wouldn't do that too often.

"Do you want to help me wash the dishes?"

"I may break every plate, but if you still want my help I will," I answered kind of surprised that he would let me help him after the disaster this morning.

"We only have to put the plates in the dishwasher," he chuckled. "Able to do that?"

"Of course! I'm not that hopeless!"
