Since Sebastian was on house arrest, Ryan, Helena and I decided to go search for my traitor of a father. We may be at a disadvantage since I may not have a pair of wings, but I was so determined to not mate with the Prince that I would do anything to avoid that. We would be able to find the traitor and bring him back here before the Prince could even say, mate.
We left at dawn going South since we heard rumors of a man looking like my father. Ryan was holding me in his arms as they both flew at an incredible speed. I never taught someone could fly so fast and they didn't even seem exhausted even after hours.
"How are we going to find him? The forest so thick..." I asked as I looked around to only see leaves everywhere.
"When I came here, I brought some friends with me." answered Helena as she whistled.
I looked at her confused, was she calling some kind of animal? They continued to fly as Helena continued to whistle here and there until a loud growl startled me. I looked behind my mate's back and saw a creature half bird and half dragon. It was all pitch black, the wings were dragon's style, but the body looked like a bird? I wasn't sure what I exactly was.
"What are they? I never saw something like that before." I asked curiously.
"They are Moon Dragons, they are pretty common in our Kingdom. Plus, we use then to hunt. They are excellent at that." she explained as she patted one the dragon's head. "Now, go find this man." she showed the dragons a picture of my father. Where did she get that?
The animals looked at it as if memorizing the face and then they took off, nowhere to be seen.
"I just hope we will find him before the Prince." I mumbled to myself as I felt Ryan hold me tighter. "I don't want to be mated to him when I know I already found my true mate..." I whined as I looked up to meet with Ryan's eyes.
"I'll never let you go, I promised you that. Even if we lose, you'll be coming with me to my Kingdom." he answered making me even more confused.
"But what about my family?"
"Don't worry I already have everything planned just in case. If they want a war after that, then so be it. My people have been ready for that for years now." he growled the last part.
"If it is the price to be with you, I won't doubt your decision." I answered as we continued to fly South.
A day passed and we were now inside a cave protecting us from beasts and the cold weather. I sighed, we found nothing today and the dragons didn't return. Was that a good sign or a bad one? What if they were injured? What if...
"Relax my Love." he whispered next to my ear as he wrapped his arms around my waist. "Don't worry, we will find your father before them."
"What about the Moon Dragons? Shouldn't they be back at this time?" I asked worriedly.
"The Moon Dragons never come back before they got their prey. If one of them is injured, they'll come back to tell Helena." he kissed my head.
"Talking about her, where is she now?" I asked not seeing her around.
"She has been patrolling the area. Don't worry, she likes to live in the wild." he answered now kissing my neck.
"Hey, you're tickling me!" I said chuckling trying to push his head away, but to fail when he started to nibble on it.
Now, I also had to worry about his roaming hands. Soon after, my shirt was off and soon to be naked if he continued to strip me.
