"Hurry up! We will be late!" I excitedly hurried my mate as he walked at an incredibly slow pace.

"The race doesn't start before a good hour," he answered not accelerating at all.

"But I want to see the opening," I whined. "Please?" while giving him the puppy eyes.

He looked at me without blinking. When I thought he would say no, I yelped when he lifted me from the ground and put me on his shoulder.

His strong wings flapped one time and we were both in the air. In a matter of a second, he was already landing behind the growing crowd.

"Keith! Ryan!" I looked around as I heard someone shout our named. When I spotted Sebastian I waved at him.

"Sebastian! You ready for the race?" I asked still in my mate shoulder.

"Of course! Since the winner can ask anything from the King," my friend smirked while looking at Ryan who only put me down.

"Hello Rose, Angela," greeted my mate as my mom and sister joined us. "I heard you will be participating."

"Wha- is that really true Angela?" asked Sebastian shocked seeing his chance to win diminishing.

"Of course! I wouldn't pass a chance compete," she smiled with her hands on her hips.

"And winning..." muttered Sebastian as he started glaring the ground.

I looked at my mate as he talked with my mom. Of course, I wanted my best friend and sister to win, but... Ryan was going to snatch the first place!

"Honestly, who do you think will be the winner?" asked my best friend seriously.

"Ryan," I answered without an ounce of hesitation.

"You didn't even think about it!"

"Of course he hasn't, it's hi-" she stopped mid sentence looking around. "Mate..." she said before running away.

Sebastian and I watched my sister disappear in the crowd. Why would she run away like that? She never acted this way before. I gave a confused look at my friend as he gave me a knowing look.

I was about to ask him what was that about, but I got interrupted when the animator started to talk.

"Welcome to the flying race! Are you guys ready?!" He asked shouting to only get a few excited shouts. "It seems like not everyone is excited about the prize... ARE YOU GUYS READY?!" he shouted again gaining more cheers. "The rules are simple, be the fastest in the sky to win a favor from the King himself! All kind of violence or cheats will disqualify you immediately! NOW, CONTESTANTS COME FORWARD!!"

I looked around seeing a lot of people going to the starting point. Before Ryan could walk away too, I gave him a good luck kiss. I blushed as some people cheered and it made my mate kiss me again.

"I'll win it for you," he simply said before flying away.

As I walked to the newly build stages, I spotted my mother and went to sit beside her. At the same time, I could hear people whispering about Ryan participating in the race and how handsome looking he was. I pouted in jealousy knowing that almost everyone's eyes were on him.

"ATTENTION EVERYONE!" shouted the animator to get everyone's attention. "The race will be officially starting in 3... 2... 1... Now!"

As soon as the word left the animator's mouth, I could see people flying away. Everything happened so fast that I didn't have the chance to see if they could depart safely. As we waited for them to return, there were a few people who watch from the higher sky and report to the animator. That way, we could know what was happening and who's was first.

"As expected, our King is first, but he's being followed by no other than his twin brother, Zack Manson! And in third place, is... We seem to have a two people fighting for the third place! They are Angela Vanburen and Sebastian Mintz!!"

I didn't know Zack was going to participate, but if he was just behind Ryan, he must be fast! He didn't seem as strong... How could I say that... His aura wasn't as imposing as Ryan... Even though they looked alike. I blushed remembering the time I kissed him thinking he was my mate.

"What happened!!? It seems like Zack Manson flew past our King! No, that's not right, King Ryan is in the first place to only be exceeded by his twin again. As you can see ladies and gentlemen, they are both fighting for the first place! As for other contestants... The distance doesn't stop growing! Impressive!"

I didn't realize how fast was my mate until now... Of Angela and Sebastian couldn't follow him... I looked at my mother beside me... Who's not here anymore... I looked around and saw no one that I recognized. Did she go to the washroom?

"They are here! All contestants finally reached the last part of the race! Surprisingly, Angela Vanburen and Sebastian Mintz are getting closer to King Ryan and Zack Manson! We can see them from here now ladies and gentlemen, let's cheer for them!"

As on cue, everyone started to cheer and scream to hurry up or don't give up. I sat up and tried to look over the heads, wings, and arms, but the crowd was only growing bigger. In the end, I decided to watch everything from the sky. I walked away from the exciting sea of people before flying up in the sky.

I smiled as I realized that I really missed the wind hitting my face and the sensation to be free. Up in the sky, I could see my mate and Zack flying at an incredible speed. Never in my dreams, would I be able to fly this fast when Sebastian couldn't even reach them? Their wings power was incredible!

"THEY ARE HERE! It seems like it will be a close call. Will it be King Ryan or Zack Manson?!" commented the animator as the crowd cheered even louder if it was possible. "And the winner is..." I waited impatiently as we all observed the twins approaching the finish line at full speed. "Ladies and gentlemen! We have our winner! It is no other than our King himself!!"

After hearing that, I cheered with everyone else as I couldn't wait for him, so I flew in his direction before taking him in my arms.

"You win! You win! You were so fast, Zack and You were like... Like...," I stopped myself and blushed when I felt everyone's eyes on me. "Anyways... Congratulations!" I shyly said before giving my mate a kiss as I heard the crowd screaming.
