The view was beautiful. They had so many trees here and creatures that I never saw before back into my former Kingdom. It seemed like they were all friendly since they were flying with the Ignis clan members. Even children were playing with some baby colored dragons.

They were living as one with nature.

"Do you like it?" asked my mate without looking down.

"Yes, I do. It's really beautiful. How come there are so many dragons and other creatures that don't live on the other side of the border?" I asked curiously.

"They would get killed. The humans living there invaded their home, destroying the trees and rivers. That's why they all came here and since then, they never left." he explained.

"There's no human here..." I said more to myself .

"No, there's none. I don't punish my people by taking their wings. The worse punishment you could get is being killed, but if not, depending on your crime, you could get banished or into a house arrest for an amount of time."

"Why is that?"

"Why should I take their wings? When war will come, they would need it to fight and by taking the wings of my people away doesn't make me better than a criminal. It would be a kind of stealing don't you think?" he explained as he looked around as if searching for something in particular.

"Does it happens a lot?" I mumbled.

"My people being killed for a crime? No, since I became the King, it only happened once and I hope it would never happen again. People in house arrest though," he chuckled "sometimes some friends start sparring. At first, it's pretty friendly, but as it goes, their friendship was slowly getting destroyed. So to calm them down, I put them under house arrest for a few days." he paused.

"What happens next?" I asked wanting to know the rest.

"As soon as they got released, they become back friends as if nothing happened and the cycle starts again. It happens quite often and the worse in all that, is I don't know if they are doing it on purpose." he grumbled clearly confused as he gracefully landed.

He carefully put me down as I looked around curiously. Ryan was right, the people living here didn't use the space like we did, not like a parasite. Here, everything was one with nature, they even had tree houses!

It was awesome!

I walked around always admiring at my surroundings never where I walked, so my mate sometimes needed to help me to avoid people, dragons or even trees!

"Sorry." I apologized with a shy smile when my curiosity was sated.

"That's okay Love." he smiled back. "What do you think?"

"It's amazing! I certainly won't be homesick, it's so beautiful here. I especially like the baby dragons flying around with the kids. And..." my attention drifted again when I saw a bright yellow dragon pass by. "And I don't know how to explain it, but I feel like I belong here, it's so peaceful and even when your people saw you or me they didn't act differently." I smiled now looking up to meet my mate's eyes.

"Then I have something to show you." he gently grabbed my hand as we walked.

As we walked, more trees surrounded us and the city's noises diminished a little. Then a big house greeted us at the end of the path. It was beautiful, it was a treehouse situated on the highest tree.

"Do you like it?" my mate asked as he pulled me into his arms.

"It is beautiful." I whispered.

"Good, it's for your mother and sister. The one for Sebastian is the one next to it." as soon as those words left his mouth, I stared at him with my mouth open.

"Y-you didn't need too..." I whispered shyly. "How much did it cost? They could have lived with us in the house. You didn't need to spend that much money on..."

"Hush now." he commanded as he put a finger on my lips. "First, I wanted your family and friend to be part of my Kingdom, that's why I gave them a house. Take it as a welcome gift. Second, this is also for you. I suppose you don't want your mother to walk on us when we are having sex." he explained as I blushed. "And I guess you'll like to live here also sometime."

"But how am I supposed to go up there?" I asked as I looked at the height of the tree.

"You have me or you can take the stairs." he explained as he pointed to the wooden stairs crafted on the tree. "It would be exhausting, but I didn't find any other solutions..."

"No, that's okay. Thank you so much!" I kissed on his lips softly before blushing furiously.

"You're so cute when you blush." he whispered next to my ear making me shiver.

"S-so, d-did you s-show it to... to m-mom?" I managed to ask.

"Not yet, I wanted you to tell them the surprise. But before that..." he suddenly picked me up bridal style before rapidly going high into the sky. "Let's visit it."
