I was awakened when I felt something move beside me, at first I was confused about what it was, but when my mate's scent drifted to my nose, I immediately relaxed. I didn't want him to go, so I tightened my hold on his waist. I felt like if I let go of him, I would remember something I tried hard to forget.

"Love, I have to go to the bathroom. I'll be right back I promise." he whispered as he gave me a small kiss on my head.

Hesitantly, I let go of him, but he didn't move an inch. I looked up confused and was greeted by a warm smile.

"I'll be right back." he pecked my lips and went to the bathroom.

So cold, the bed was so cold without him here. However, in the same, my back was burning.

It hurt... Hurt so much... Why? I took my pill not long ago. So why?

I whimpered in pain as Ryan came back. His body was colder now, but still so warm. I snuggled into his arms again before exhaling a tired sigh.

"What's wrong Love?" he whispered as he drew small patterns on my back.

"Nothing... I'm tired that's all." I answered my voice muffled by his chest.

"Rest. I'll take you sightseeing another day." he gently kissed me.

We stayed in this position for God knew how long. Being surrounded by my mate scent and body, I slowly drifted back into a peaceful sleep.

When I woke up, I found out that I was alone in bed. His side of the bed was cold. I slowly sat up and when I didn't feel any pain, I also got out of bed. I went into the bathroom to empty my bladder before deciding to take a hot shower.

Once everything was done, I started to search for my mate, but I had no idea where he was. I tried his office first, but it was empty. I walked around the huge house without really knowing where I was going.

I was now facing a humongous door and it was so heavy! I had to pull on the knob like no possible. Hell, why did he need a door so unnecessary huge and heavy? Once opened, it connected with the outside.

It was so warm and peaceful, but there were a lot go Moon dragons and other creatures flying around. It was really intimidating. Before I could put a step outside, I dangerous growl resonated making me stop in my track. Then I looked around, but still saw nothing, so I walked out. However, another growl came and this time, I looked down and saw a cute little Moon dragon. I crouched down to examine the little dragon closer. He was so cute and didn't look dangerous at all compared to the ones that came with us the other days.

"Hey, you. What are you doing here?" I said gently as the little one looked at me with curious eyes and huffed at me as if I was stupid. I blinked in confusion before trying to pet his head, but eat time he moved away. "I think you don't like me very much huh?" I talked to him as if he could answer me.

He started to walk away on his tiny little legs. I watched the little dragon walk away before remembering what I was initially doing. I looked around, but there was no other houses, only trees. If only I had wings, I could go exploring a little, but for now, that wasn't a good idea.

I closed the door using both hands and turned around. Where could Ryan be? I was going to walk away before someone knocked at the front door. Who may that be? Was Ryan expecting someone?

Again, I pulled the heavy door, I swear I was going to make my mate change that fucking door. When it was half open, I saw Helena and I smiled.

"Hello, Helena!" I greeted happily.

"Hello, Keith. Having some trouble?" she greeted back and asked while glancing at the door as I nodded shyly.

She came in with no difficulty even with the door half open before giving a powerful push as the door closed. How could she close it so easily when it took me five minutes?

"Are you here for Ryan?" I asked as we started walking inside the house.

"Yes, he wants to talk to me. I wonder why?" she said absently.

"How's your mate?" I asked and she looked at me with bright eyes.

She started to ramble about him and before we knew it, we were in front of Ryan office again. She knocked at the door, now wearing the mask she always did when she wasn't talking about her mate. I wonder what man could make her change like that? They must love each other so much.

"Enter." said my mate from the other side.

We both went in and I walked toward him. When he saw me, he smiled and put me on his lap.

"When did you wake up? Have you rested well?" he asked me gently.

"A while ago, I was looking for you but didn't find you, but Helena came so, here I am. And yes, I good now." I smiled before giving him a chaste kiss.

"My Lord, you wanted to see me?" stated Helena when Ryan looked at her.

"Yes, I want you to increase the guards at the border, but don't tell them why. I don't need them to panic because a possible war is coming. Invent something I don't care, but I don't want them stressed out or panicked." explained my mate and I felt guilty.

It was my fault, my fault that we were going to a war. One side of me did not want this, but on the other side, I wanted the Prince to suffer. I wanted him to suffer what he made us go through. I wanted revenge.

"Yes, my Lord." Helena answered before walking out of the room.

The office was silent and we stayed like that for a while as Ryan continued to fill his papers. I had my eyes closed and my head resting on my mate's chest while listening to his heartbeat.

"Do you still want to go outside?" he asked as he put down a pen.

"If you're not busy." I answered not wanting to move.

"Then let' go, I hope you'll like it." he said as he took me in his arms before walking outside of the house.

He opened the door so easily that it wasn't funny anymore... How come they were all so strong? Before I could ask, my mate's wings deployed and in seconds, we were flying next to the clouds.
