"Hi! "Bucky's head jolted off the pillow that he had his head rested on, accidentally hitting his skull on the window.
He rubbed his head as he looked to the owner of the voice.
Beside him sat a little girl with light blonde, almost white hair.
She beamed at him like he was a puppy that had wandered onto her doorstep."Um, hi? " he asked sleepily.
"You've been sleeping for a long time." the girl stated. "So I decided to wake you up!" She smiled through two missing top teeth.
Bucky huffed, frustrated, and said sarcastically, "Gee, thanks. "
The girl grinned again. "You're welcome! My names Luna, what's yours? "
Bucky leaned back in his seat, realizing that he wouldn't be getting back to sleep anytime soon. "Bucky. "
Luna grinned even wider. "Bucky! I like that name. I have a stuffed bear named Becky, and that's kinda like Bucky. Can I call you Bucky Bear? "
"No. "
"Okay! " She clapped her small hands together gleefully, ignoring his denial of the nickname.
Bucky looked out the window, seeing that the sun was about to come up. "What are you doing on a bus all by yourself, anyways? "
Luna shrugged, "I just decided to visit you." she said it like it was the most obvious thing in the world.
Bucky frowned. "Why? "
Luna's smile dropped a little. "'Cause you seem sad. "
Bucky's heart skipped a beat. How could she tell that he was sad? He shook his head. He probably didn't look like that happiest person in the world, it wasn't a deep assumption.
"I'm not sad. " he said.
The girl shook her head in disagreement. "You are, though. I can feel it. "
He didn't answer her.
Luna grinned at him. "I can tell by the blue around you. There's blue and grey, which means you're very sad. And your heart hurts. I can feel that, too. "
Bucky frowned again, although a bit disturbed that she knew all that. "You're crazy, kid. "
"I'm not. "
"You are. "
"But I'm not! "
Bucky stopped answering her.
The girl reached into the pink flowered backpack next to her and pulled out an object. She held a fuzzy little brown bear that had a little black mask around it's eyes. She pushed it into Bucky's hands, and Bucky then realized that she never said anything about his metal appendage.
"This is Becky. "
Bucky gave a half nodded and handed the Bear back to her.
Luna shook her head and handed it back to him. "Becky's name is Bucky now. Bucky Bear. I want you to have him. "
"I don't want your stuffed animal. "
"Please! He'll be you're friend. "
Bucky tried not to smile a little at that. He had to admit that the kid was cute, even if really, really weird. He hesitantly closed his hands around the bear. "Thanks, kid. "
"You have to keep him. Bucky Bear will be your friend when you feel lonely. "
Bucky's eyes saddened as he thought if he, Anymore, I always feel lonely.
Luna smiled again as she said to him, "You won't always be lonely, Bucky. "
***********
Bucky jolted awake when he hit his head off of the bus window.
He flinched as he rubbed his scalp, and-
The man froze.
He had just done all of this.
Where was the little girl?
He turned his head, looking all around the bus, only to see an old lady holding a cat, a teenager wearing all black with countless piercings, and a young lady who was seemed to be crying.
Luna was nowhere to be found.
Bucky shook his head, figuring that it must have been some crazy dream.
He stretched his arms, then realized he was holding something.
Clenched tightly in his metal hand was a fuzzy brown bear.
It was Bucky Bear.
Bucky frowned, now he was very confused.
He just shook his head again as he placed the small bear inside his backpack.
Maybe, even if it was just a silly stuffed animal, it would keep him company one day.
***Steve's Point of View ***
Steve paced around the kitchen, wringing his hands and running his fingers through his hair nervously.
What was he going to do?
He picked up the phone, but then sat it back down.
Who would he call?
He paced even more, extremely frustrated.
Bucky was gone, and he hadn't moved from his kitchen.
Steve picked up the phone again, and dialed Sharon's number.
It went straight to her voicemail.
The man groaned as he hung up.
Who else could he call?
He inhaled deeply as he dialed Sam's number.
Sam and Bucky mainly Just pretended they didn't like each other, but Steve knew they had a deep bond.
"Yo, I'm probably too busy kicking butt to answer the phone right Now, so leave a message. " Sam's voicemail stated.
Steve sighed again as he said into the recording, "Sam, call me back when you can. "
He then dialed Natasha's number.
To his relief, she answered. "Hey, Rogers. " she said.
"Natasha, I need your help. "
"With? "
"I need you to find Bucky for me. "
A/N BTW, in the Inhumans comics, Medusa's sister, Crystal, has a child with Quicksilver (!) and it's Luna. She can feel people's emotions and see their auras and stuff. I just got the weird idea to throw her in here, no clue why. Thanks for reading!
