"Where are we going?" You asked, worried. There were a lot of places you have never been and your boyfriend, Wonwoo, being such a gentleman, he gave no clue where your third date will be.
You just hope to avoid nasty surprises.
"Tadaa," Wonwoo revealed, taking off his hands from your face so you could get a clear view. You shrieked, and immediately hid behind your boyfriend's back. You stammered at the horrendous view. Wonwoo tilted his head.
"Aren't you happy?" He asked. "Why didn't you tell me we were going to a cat cafe?" You asked. Still hoping this was a nightmare. "Well, I wanted to do a part-time work and I'm going to be a staff in this cafe by next week," Wonwoo grinned, his jawline stretched clearly.
"Right....," You just nodded slowly. You didn't want to mess up this date neither disappoint your boyfriend. You just had to keep the secret with you.
As you entered, different types of cats were roaming around the cafe. The place seems to be crowded with lots of cat lovers.
There were Siamese, Persian, Burmese, you name it.
You tightened your grip on your boyfriend's hand. He looked at you worriedly. cat approached you. It was a munchkin cat, very tiny. In fact, it looked like a kitten, and it seemed curious as it approached you.
You screamed inside, still squeezing Wonwoo's hand like sponge. You held your breath. Every cat that passed you was scary. Some of the cats purred and curved their body around your leg. You felt like fainting. The customers inside the cafe seems to be interested in you, since you were obviously slowly driving the cats away from you. It was a pretty weird sight, having them to think that you despised cats.
Which were true.
Wonwoo sat down on the nearest windowsill. Of course, being such a crazy cat lover, that boyfriend of yours, chose to sat where the cats favored their places the most, the windowsill. The cats were bundled up, asleep on the windowsill, not even bothering to peek at the sight of the cafe.
"Looks great huh?" Wonwoo asked. "Yeah," You replied, shortly. Your hand that was resting on the table and really near to the cats, had a physical contact with a Burmese cat's fur. It was, although soft, but still scary. You never know when a cat will come and attack you.
"You seem quite pale, are you okay?" Wonwoo asked, looking worried. You stiffened. Not only by his answer that made you speechless, but the cat nearest to you, woke up.
You held in your urge to scream.
You just stood up and went over to Wonwoo's side. You hugged him on the neck while whispering, "I have ailurophobia, a phobia of cats," You whispered weakly. You felt your head spin around and imagined horrible outcomes.
Wonwoo held your hand.
"It's okay, calm down. I'll help," Wonwoo said. You tried gaining a sense of your rapid breathing and breathed slowly.
"Let's have some fresh air and calm down for a but outside," Wonwoo suggested, grabbing your hand. You gripped his shirt and shook your head.
"I want to try curing my phobia," You said shyly. "You don't have to rush, it'll need days to practice," Wonwoo patted your head lovingly. "It's okay, I want to try. After all, you love cats don't you?" You asked. Wonwoo laughed.
"Thank you, for doing this for me, I guess," He said. You smiled at him.
"Kyaa!" You shouted when a cat suddenly jumped towards you. It passed you and landed on the table. You catch your breath.
"내가 도와 줄게 (I'll help you)," Wonwoo smiled, reassuring you that this would work out perfectly. You just hoped it would.
'I'll try my best' You thought.
"First of all, do you think I'm cute?" Wonwoo grinned, is eyes staring through you. "Of course," You said, that was the truth. "Then use that as the concept, you ever said I looked like a cat, no?" Wonwoo purred, cutely acting like a cat.
You laughed at his statement.
Wonwoo dragged you towards the kitten playground at the back of the cafe. "I've heard that they are selling these kittens," Wonwoo pointed. You looked at him. "So....umm....if we end up living with each other..umm, I could have a little companion, "Wonwoo blushed, pointing at some specific species.
"You want to have a pet cat?" You asked, horrified by the thought. "Yeah, I mean, if it's okay for you," Wonwoo gulped.
You dashed to inside and chose a target. The kitten was rolling around, you wanted to try to touch it. Curing your phobia, to make your boyfriend happy.
Your index finger touched the kitten's belly and you closed your eyes, freaked out on what would happen next.
Then someone grabbed your shoulders, his breath going closer to your ear.
"Don't force yourself," Wonwoo said. He took over your hand and picked up the kitten and stroked it, naturally.
"You try," Wonwoo handed over the kitten. You shivered, but didn't refuse.
You got immersed in playing with the kitten. It was fun.
"Okay, let's move on to the adult," Wonwoo smiled and skipped inside the cafe. "Wait, wait, wait!" You pounced on Wonwoo. "Okay, okay," He smirked.
"Right..., now get off of me," You pushed him. He sat up and sighed. "This is not working,"
"Let me be your cat," Wonwoo suggested. "Huh?" You tilted your head. Wonwoo licked your hands. "Your lips are next," He said.
You were shocked.
"Just like a cat," He kissed.
