Seventeen One Shots

I Did (DK)

You took the shortest path to the canteen, running. YOu slowed down and took a glimpse of the soccer field. As usual, the boys were playing. 

And there was him, your long time friend since junior high school, Seokmin. There was also your biggest crush, the school's ace...Minhyun. You watched both of them struggling for the ball and it made you momentarily forgot you needed to go to the canteen. 

As you realized you needed to hurry, Seokmin noticed you and waved at you. You waved back to him, but you noticed Minhyun was watching and you dashed to the canteen, head to the ground because you don't want anyone to watch your embarrassed face.

Eating lunch alone was boring. Usually, you ate with your friends but they needed to do club activities. 

You can feel a presence behind you and when Seokmin surprised you...you weren't that surprised. 

"You're no fun," He said.  "I feel bored...," You said. It was always fun talking to Seokmin, the conversation never cease to end but you enjoyed it. 

"You still have a crush on that guy?" Seokmin asked. You nodded. After all, you can't lie with the face you're putting up now. Seokmin laughed. "It's nice seeing you blush like that," He said. You smiled. 

"You'll be seeing this side of me more often," You replied. He nodded and patted your head. It felt warm. Every touch of his felt warm. Maybe you looked up to him as a brotherly figure. 

"I need to hurry back to class," He said. You packed up your things and went with him. 

While walking, you passed Minhyun who was talking with his friends. Seokmin nudged you and you responded by slaping him and whispering 'I know'. 

Later that day, you bumped onto Minhyun on the way to Math class. 

"___ right? Seokmin's friend?" He asked. That damned smile made your heart warm. You nodded. He laughed. "I always wanted to talk to you....but you were always with Seokmin, does it make you uncomfortable talking with me?" He asked. His voice was as sweet as ever. You shook your head. 

"Great, wanna hang out sometime?" Minhyun asked. "That'd be nice," You smiled at him. He patted your shoulder and left you dazed. 

*Afternoon*

"So what'd you think?" Seokmin asked. You snapped out of your thought and apologized to him. "I see..so you he asked you out," Seokmin nodded understandingly. 

"You know....I don't want you to get hurt and I know I should've told you this before. I don't fully think you should be with him," Seokmin said. you stopped in your tracks. 

"Why?" 

"because he might be using you." 

You wouldn't want to believe the statement he just said. "It isn't true....you're probably jealous," You laughed it off. 

Seokmin gripped your shoulders and looked right to your eyes. "I'm serious." You shrugged it off. you knew that Minhyun wasn't that kind of guy. You're gonna prove him wrong.

The day of the hangout (or date) with Minhyun went out well. You had a lot of fun. The hangout ended with a karaoke. You were singing your heart out until Minhyun decided to tell you. 

"____, I'm so sorry," He apologized. You stopped singing. "What?"

"I...asked you for a date because...I wanted to make my ex jealous," Minhyun confessed. Your grip to the mic tightened, suppressing your feelings. "Y-yeah it's okay," You replied. It wasn't.

"I knew you liked me yet I used you...I'm very very sorry," Minhyun said. You smiled at him. "Really....it's fine," You answered him. 

On the way back home...you couldn't hold back your tears and let them flowing.
