"I AM NOT GOING AND THAT IS FINAL!" You shouted across the room. Your parents shook their head in disappointment.
"Sweetheart....You are old enough to have a boyfriend, just try this one and you won't regret it. THis is for your own future. How about if a handsome young lad will be there? It wouldn't be too much of a bother, wouldn't it?" Your mom pleaded.
"Handsome or not, kind or not, tall or not, any of your excuses are useless. I am not going to a stupid blind date! And that is final!" You angrily argued back, slamming the door.
"Such a tempered young woman," Your dad whispered behind the door.
You sighed and walked towards your bunk bed. You took a frame from the window sill and examined the picture inside it. It was your family picture with your sister, your parents and you, smiling like an idiot.
Your sister, as expected, was a married woman. She was fine and elegant, she was enough to make your family proud. Other than that, she married off to a handsome and a rich man. Her life was blessed.
And then there's you, currently groaning over your parents argument outside with a pillow to cover your ears with.
"___, please....do this for the family, do it for us," Your mother's voice whispered slowly behind the door. "You have unnie already," You mumbled under the pillow. Your mother didn't respond. Although, you were sure she had left, you were quite uncertain with your place right now.
Sure, it would be remarkable to make money and have a husband, but this is going to far. You never did believe in destiny. After all, making your parents happy is good...right?
You opened the door slightly and found your parents sitting glumly at the couch.
"I'll do it mom," You slowly said, without giving any clue that you're excited.
She rushed over to you and patted your head."Thank you, if you think he is not ideal, then you can back away," She whispered.
"Okay, so let me get this straight. We don't know who the boy will be and his mother told me to meet in the pizza parlor next week?" You asked your mother. She nodded.
Not having a clue about who your date will be makes it even more confusing.
~Time Skip~
Today was a busy day, you woke up, realizing something is off. Then, you remembered that today was the day to set the blind date, you had to end this fast, for good.
You muttered a curse word underneath your breath, he wasn't there yet. You were 100% sure this was the assigned place.
You started to wonder how the man will be like.
Suddenly, you felt something breathing on your shoulder.
"Hello," He said. You looked back, shocked by the fact that the boy you were having a date with was none other than Mingyu, Seventeen's Kim Mingyu.
"W-Wh-What are you doing here?!!" You asked him. His face turned glum. "Aren't you___?" He asked back. You nodded.
"How did you know?" You asked. "I'm your date," Mingyu smiled and put out his hands from his pockets to handshake you. "Excuse me?" You laughed, not believing in reality anymore. "I hate to repeat my words," Mingyu answered.
"Wait, how do you know I was going to be here, while I don't know that you're the person that I'll be dating?" You eyed him with suspicion. "Well....my mom did specifically arranged it with your mom and your mom showed me your picture. So if you don't know me, either your mom didn't show you my picture or she didn't ask anything about who her daughter is going to date," Mingyu grinned.
