You turned your body around and opened your eyes slowly. Your boyfriend, Joshua was sleeping peacefully beside you, hands wrapped tightly around your waist. You scooted closer to him and pressed your head against his smooth muscles, favoring every moment.

Joshua slowly opened his eyes and he was shocked to see you just staring at him lovingly. You blushed and looked away.

Joshua sat up and messed his already-messy hair, he yawned cutely. "You're up before me again?" He laughed. You nodded.

You went out to the kitchen to cook some breakfast.

"Porridge?" Joshua asked, the towel still on top of his wet hair after he just finished showering. "Yup, you can't say no, Jisoo...you know you have to maintain your condition," You said while pouring yourself and himself a bowl of porridge.

"You were ill last night, no wonder you came here so weak and pale," You grunted, mad at the fact that your boyfriend (and almost husband to be) wasn't paying attention to his own health.

"I'm sorry to have trouble you," Joshua smiled and patted your head. "Since when have you ever apologized?" You said, blowing your own spoon filled with porridge. "Hey, don't tease me like that. I was already a gentleman when I was born you know," Joshua proudly claimed.

You stood up and opened the curtains to the living room to give the sunlight rays access to the room.

"I just can't believe it.....we've been living here ever since I got out of military, I'll surely miss this place," Joshua said. "Totally. I'm going to miss Korea too," You agreed. Joshua held your hand. "Thanks, ___," He said. You gave a questioning face. "What for?"

He shrugged. "Probably for agreeing to live back in America with me, must be a burden to you."

"I can totally understand Jisoo, your parents and your whole family is back there. Plus, we have spent quite enough time in Korea," You replied. You could feel Joshua's warm breath in your ear as he hugged you close.

-2 WEEKS LATER-

"Oh my," You gawked at the scene of Joshua's house. It was bigger than your house in Korea, it was simple but elegant at the same time. As you entered the house, you became nervous to see Joshua's parents.

They offered you treats and helped you unpack your stuff. It was the first real meeting of you with them, you often saw Joshua video calling his parents.

You felt really happy just thinking about the family you were going to live with later in the future.

Everyday, you would see Joshua already out of bed an hour before you, helping with his parents work. You smiled when you saw the sweet scene, but you felt a twinge of guilt. Was it because you weren't helping Joshua's parents enough? Or did you feel bad about leaving your parents (who were the ones who encouraged you to live in America)?

For a year later, you got used to living there already but every day, the guiltier you felt. And....everyday, you felt the connection of your relationship with Joshua fading. You understood how much he loved his parents, but it just wouldn't work out inside your head.

"Joshua...can we talk?" You asked him one day. Joshua nodded, he also had something to talk about.

"Look, I know you're busy and all, I can understand that....but have you ever like....missed our daily walk together, or maybe waking up at the exact moment and laugh it out? Well, it's because I did. I feel pressured by the thought cause I  don't want to separate you with your parents....so I've come up with an idea," You breathed. Joshua's body twitched.

"Maybe we both need some time alone, you know? like a break, i go back for a while to Korea and you stay in America, I don't know how that will work out but hey! I've heard couples having long distance rela-"
