"Stop ignoring me!" You called to him, trying to reach your feelings across. He looked at you coldly in the eye. "I'm sorry, I can't do that," He said with his monotone voice and he looked away as the distance between you both got further and further. Just like your relationship.

It's been 2 years since he hasn't contacted you, well that is after the break up. It wasn't surprising that both of you were angry against each other.

You scrolled over the messages, the fragments and memories that you both had where still stuck inside of you, unwanting to leave.

You found a lot of funny messages and conversations that led you to cry. His status message remained 'don't cry because it ended, smile because it happened'. Yeah right, total bullshit.

"Are we really over?" You kept questioning that from the past. You never got to see him again and that made you feel very very very dissapointed. Dissapointed in yourself for missing him and dissapointed at the whole universe for no damn reason.

You knew him all too well, a guy who would not turn back after a break up. A guy who was not afraid but just too good at hiding his feelings. A guy...a guy who you'll always love. Even now.

Saturday morning, you took a quick snack before running towards the museum you worked in.

You loved the museum, every week you would always go there and admire the vast building painted with beautiful art that made you feel nostalgic. And partly, you loved it because he did.

There were lovely sketches of a huge field filled with thousands of dandelions floating towards the sky and the clouds hovered above it all, gazing down at the grasses. You especially loved the painting of two lovers, old and aged, but still happy, reminiscing the old times of youth.

You wondered why it didn't last as long as you both did.

"___," A customer called you. She was asking a brief history of a painting of the war. You had to explain clearly and patiently, remembering that you were the employee of the year. She thanked you and left.

For the whole afternoon you were nonstop serving your knowledge towards the visitors. Mostly, they were couples.

You smiled looking around, happy to see faces of those who were entertained by the art. Then you stopped smiling, the whole world seem to froze as your eye were faced with another. A man, wearing a simple black sweater and jeans, putting his hands inside his pockets and smiled. A painting in itself.

Your heart thumped faster by the minute.

He walked over to you and took one of his hands out of the pocket to formally greet you. No kiss, no hugs, no big smiles pampered...not that you were expecting any of that. Just a simple handshake.

"Quite a collection you have here," He said. You mumbled. He laughed, "Don't be so grouchy, it's a nice place you work in."

You observed him. He was so different, so carefree. His hair was dyed partly brown on the front and he's all smiles. Why did he change completely?

You had to escort another VIP visitor for the second time that day, choosing to completely ignore him.

Next morning was hell. You were late, took a cup of coffee and speed towards the museum. You had to search your whole bag for your id card when it was in your pocket and had to pass your furious manager. Then you halted, another person had already taken your place.

And it was him.

You felt anger boiling up but decided to be a pro.

"Well that was a rush, your hair's all tangled up," those were the words you heard every morning in the past and now he's making you remember those times. You ignored him and looked at the schedule for today.

You had to teach him all the stuff, you had to admit it. He was always a better worker than you.

After you flipped the "WE ARE CLOSED" sign, you sighed and cleaned up. You were staying at the counter when he decided to join you. As in...help.

"You can go," You said to him, not wanting to burden him. He didn't answer you and kept cleaning. "Until now you still don't listen to me do you," You gave a stifle. He didn't budge.

Pretty much the hour went by and you both did your work in silence. You re-adjusted the frames. You had to struggle with the big ones.

"I'll help," He said, fixing it easily. You glanced at him. Was he really this good looking before? You shrugged off the thought since it might be because you haven't seen him. You were about to cry when he held your hand. What now?

"You weren't even sad were you? why are you doing this to me now?" You finally confronted him. He half smiled. "Boys don't cry."

Somehow, it made you laugh. "Such a nerd."

He didn't release his grip. "You've chan-"

Those two words didn't successfully come out of your mouth as you were encountered with a swift movement. He placed his hand's on your neck and pulled you forward.

As you opened your eyes, he had tears on his cheeks. When he saw you looking, he placed his hands to cover your eyes.

"Don't look," He said. You wanted him to trust you, so you held his hand and slowly released his hands from your eyes and let him hug you. You missed this perfectly loving embrace.

"Forgive me, I will take my leave," He said after thanking you for the time to listen.

"Hold on.....does that mean that you still have feelings for me?" You asked a stupid question but was struck by his answer.

"Yea. I still do."

He left, just like that. If he was still the same boy from the past, he would say no. But he changed, he opened up. That was a start.

You smiled for an unknown reason as you looked at the door slowly closing.
