The night sky seemed to envelop us as we flew higher than we ever had before. At last we stopped above the clouds, large black wings beating above me to keep us afloat. I snuggled into the arms that held me, enjoying their warmth even as the rest of my body began to turn cold. Sobs raked through the person's chest holding me and I looked up, raising a hand stained red with blood to rest it on his cheek. My sight was blurry and all I could make out were the black wings against the stars and a flash of red.

"I can't see you anymore, so I will remember the last time I saw you smiling at me."

My head was pulled into his chest as his arms tightened around me, his body shaking.

"Forgive me, I failed you again."

I shook my head as it got harder and harder for me to keep my eyes open.

"I chose this, I chose you and I will always choose you. I love you."

He kissed my head but I couldn't feel it, my body was numb.

"I love you, now and forever."

BANG!

The sound of slamming doors pulled me from my dream as I heard shouting from my neighbours. I sat up with a sigh and rubbed my eyes, looking over at the clock to see it was only ten in the morning, they had started early. Ignoring the screaming match going on a few doors away I crawled out of my bed and went to the shower. I stared at myself in the mirror, azure eyes stared back at me. My hair was the same colour as my eyes and my skin was porcelain white. Dark eyes ringed my eyes and I sighed, I would have to cover them up for work tonight. I glanced down at my chest and hands to make sure they weren't red with blood. The dreams were so real. It was the first time I had that one but each dream I had was similar. Black wings, red hair and normally blood or death around. I stepped into shower and blasted the heat letting it warm my body up, I was shivering from the dream. I had worried that they might have been omens but I had been having the dreams for as long as I could remember and I was still here. The only things that were different in my life was that I could see them. At this thought I looked out the window and sure enough I saw a little bird like creature perched on the sill outside. It gave a cackle and flew off. When I started having the dreams I started seeing them. Demons, ghosts, whatever they were called I could see them. I had learnt not to show a reaction to them, some were harmless others not so much. I rubbed a scar on my shoulder remembering when I had run into a not so friendly one. I had been cutting through the side alleys to get home faster when I had seen it. A beast twice my size with a bulls head and I couldn't help but cry out in fear when I saw it covered in blood. It had seen me and charged, its horn cutting deeply into my arm. I had feared I would be killed then and there but one of the large bird like creatures had been circling above me and cried out. Then I passed out as a large shadow passed over me. I woke up in the hospital bed and when I returned to the alley there was no sign of anything there.

I jumped out of the shower and got changed into a pair of jeans and a plane white shirt. I should probably run some errands before work. As soon as I closed the door and turned around I was greeted with a wide chest. I looked up to see a large man in a suit towering above me, sunglasses covering his eyes.

"Step back fool, you're crowding the little angel."

The mountain in front of me moved away and a lanky man stepped up and put his arm around my shoulders.

"It's been a long time Kuroko."

I schooled my face to stay blank so it wouldn't show the disgust I felt.

"It has. How can I help?"

"The boss is having a shindig with the other big wigs and wants you there."
