Akashi's Pov

I watched as Kuroko's body thrashed and he cried out, sweat and tears pouring down his face. Bruises and cuts appeared on his body and just as quickly faded away with a flicker of flame.

"Izzy!"

I looked over at the old woman who was shaking from her seat by Kuroko's head, her face pale.

"I-it's okay crow. I told you he has gone deep into his memories, it isn't only his mind that had to remember, his body is too. He is so deep that his mind thinks this is happening now so it is giving him the wounds."

"But if he is this hurt."

I looked at the bruise that formed around his throat in the shape of fingers and turned away. I remembered every moment, every injury he received from that bastard. I looked up to meet white eyes on a grey face

"I know crow but don't worry, he won't die here now."

*Flash back* Kuroko's Pov

Haizaki dragged me out of the tent and I could see a group of three winged demons in front of us and kneeling at their feet, eyes wide in pale faces were the family I had met in the forest. I pulled against Haizaki's grasp, ignoring his talons digging into me.

"What are you doing? Let them go!"

He grabbed my face and turned it to face the humans on their knees. The mother was still holding the baby and she met my eyes, fear evident on her face.

"Isn't it great?"

Haizaki whispered, his mouth beside my ear as he gripped my chin painfully.

"Having them kneel to you? The world will kneel to us. Humans are simply cattle."

With his words one of the demons moved forward and with one quick move beheaded the father. Blood splattered on my feet and the woman screamed, clutching the baby to her chest and pulling her son close, covering his eyes. The boy was shivering, tears falling silently down his face. The baby woke up and started crying and I gaped at the scene before me, unable to believe what had happened. Unnoticed by the both of us the wind had picked up and clouds had rolled in. Haizaki let me go where I sunk to my knees, the blood pooling in front of me. He dipped his hand in it and licked it before cupping my cheek. He rubbed the blood over the side of my face and I flinched away from him.

"You are so beautiful, bathed in blood. You need more."

I stared at him in shock as he grabbed the woman.

"No, stop it."

I was trembling where I sat, the wind whipping through my hair and ragged clothes. Haizaki ignored me and dragged the weeping woman over to me.

"Please, do what you want with me but spare my children."

He forced her to her knees in front of me and she handed me her child. I grabbed it, numb to what was going on.

"Please look after her."

Without warning blood spurted over me and we both looked down in shock to see Haizaki's taloned wing tip sticking out of her chest. He pulled it out and a torrent of blood washed over me and the child in my arms. The young boy was white as a sheet, his arms hanging loosely by his side, tears flowing unchecked down his cheeks. He stared, wide eyed and straight ahead, his mouth open in a silent scream. I could see myself in him, my own mouth open as I screamed for my mother to wake up and for my father to not leave me. Haizaki let the body of the woman fall to the ground and I blinked blood out of my eyes. I could smell the iron tang of it, it was in my mouth, nose and ears. I could feel it coating my skin and shivered in disgust.
