Chapter 2

Scully's POV

My last class of the day was world history and finally, the bell rang, me and my classmates stood in unison to get ready to go home as I put my notes inside my bag, my best friend Monica Reyes startled me from behind.

"Boo!" she said as she laughed.

"Jesus! Monica, you love scaring me, don't you?" I put my hands on my waist.

"Oh, so the tough boyish Dana Scully is now scared, huh? I must say, great job to me." She said proudly. She knows I don't get scared easily and she's doing things that make me want to be scared but I don't. Ever since when we were little she's been like that. I think her ultimate goal was to scare the hell out of me. Well, if she can do that, like what I had promised her I will hook her up to her long-time crush Brad Follmer, the captain of the school's football team, even though I don't know how to do it. : /

"Yeah...you scared me there." I sarcastically said.

"Hmp!" She sat in the chair beside mine. "Anyway, I saw you this morning with Spooky."

"What?" I stopped what I was doing, looked at her, and then went back to fixing my things. Zipped my bag then both of us exited the classroom.

"Spooky Mulder." She reminded me, which I forgot because I was so focused in all of my classes.

"Oh yeah...Yes, we had a little talk. Why?"

"Tsss, what do you mean why? Dana, he's the school's resident Spooky. That's why he's called spooky Mulder because of the weird things he likes and sometimes does." Monica said like she was disgusted by it.

"He's different though, but let's just leave the guy and what he likes to do. It's his life." I said as we reached the school's front door. Suddenly Monica stopped and put her hands on my shoulders.

"Are you defending him, Dana?" her brown eyes widened.

"I'm not. I'm just saying, Monica. And don't overreact." I started walking.

As we walked home, we chatted about anything. How she likes Brad Follmer but she had a feeling that Brad had a crush on me. :/ So as we talked, Monica stopped and pulled me.

"Hey!" I said. Then she pointed at a park across from the street where we were standing.

"Oh my God! See? I told you he's spooky and weird." Monica said as she crossed her arms near her chest. I suddenly saw Mulder assemble something with a telescope hanging from his neck. When he took a glance and saw us.

He shouted "Hey Scully!" and he waved.

I waved at him too. And Monica was looking as shocked as ever. "Scully? So you have terms of endearment or something?"

I sighed and said "It's not a term of endearment, Monica and we don't have that. We just call each other's last name 'cause... I don't know but it's just nothing."

Then suddenly when we looked where Mulder was, he was gone.

"Where did Spooky go?" Monica asked.

"I'm here." Mulder suddenly was on Monica's side. That made Monica shout and jump and hide behind me.
