Chapter 27

Author's POV 😉

One year later, at a church in New York, family and guests were all waiting for the bride. The groom stood at the altar looking so nervous but his best man assured him that everything would be okay.

Moments later the bridal car arrived. The groom couldn't see the bride because of the photographers taking pictures of her.

When the photographers were done, the groom saw the bride standing in front of the stairs. Then, the song Beautiful in White by Shane Filan started to play as the bride walked up the stairs and into the aisle.

In the middle of the aisle, the bride walked by her adoring parents towards the altar.

The groom could not help but cry. Tears of joy. His eyes lay only on her bride and the bride to her groom. As they finally reached the altar the father's bride gave her hand to the groom. The groom thanked his future father and mother-in-law.

Then, the couple looked at each other's eyes and both smiled. And the ceremony began.

9 months later...

"Honey! We're leaving!" shouted Mulder, standing at the door with the six-year-old Aira.

"Daddy, Mommy is getting slower and slower." Aira joked.

"Ssshhh mommy is also sensitive, almost everything you say she gets cranky." they both laughed.

"Hey! I heard that!" Scully said as she arrived and gave Aira her lunch box.

"Thank you, mommy."

"You're welcome, sweetie," Scully said as she knelt and kissed Aira's forehead. "Be good in school, okay."

Aira nodded and ran to Mulder's car.

"She's growing up so fast," Scully said.

"Yes she is and she's getting more looked a lot like you every day so beautiful," Mulder said.

"Yeah...right. Look at me I am so big!"

Mulder looked at Scully's big round belly and said "You are not big, silly, you are just pregnant with our son. And you are beautiful."

They kissed. Then Aira shouted, "Ew get a room!"

Mulder and Scully looked at each other in disbelief.

"Where did she learn that?!" Scully asked.

Mulder shrugged, smiled, and kissed her goodbye. Then he and Aira left.

Scully closed the door behind her, when suddenly she felt a pain in her belly and it was getting more pain. Then her water broke.

She was alone now in their new house. She was almost nine months pregnant and the expected due date was supposed to be at the end of September.

"Looks like someone is excited to see the world... ah!" she shouted in pain.

She opened the door and fortunately, the mailman was about to put the mail but he saw Scully, rushed to her and called 911.

Mulder started his class until his co-teacher entered and whispered that his wife was in the hospital in labor.

His eyes widened and declared class dismissed. He ran and took just his car eyes.

His co-teacher just shook his head and was happy for him.

He drove as fast as he could and every time he almost hit someone's car he apologized and shouted his wife would give birth.

Minutes later he arrived at the hospital and ran straight to the delivery room.

"I am Dana's husband! Where is she?" panting, he asked the nurse.

"Right this way sir." the nurse led him to the room where Scully was giving birth. He wore a robe and gloves. And just as soon as he entered the room, his baby boy came out and cried at the top of his lungs.

The doctor gave the baby to Scully. And Mulder kissed her.

"He looks like you, Mulder." Scully said smiling.

And Mulder looked at his son happily.

"Hello there little guy," he said. "What will we name him?"

"I was thinking Scott," Scully answered.

"Scott...Scott William Mulder." Mulder said.

"I love that. Hello baby Scott."

The happy parents held their newborn with love.

"I love you," Scully said looking up to Mulder.

And Mulder replied "I love you too. Thank you for choosing me, for loving me, and giving me beautiful children."

And they kissed.
