23 years later...
"Mom, I know you're just worried but I will be okay. I'm already here in their parking lot." Aira said to her mom on her phone as she got out of her car.
Then Scully said from the other line "Are you sure this is what you want baby?" she sounded worried.
Aira chuckled then said "Mom... Yes, I am sure. I graduated and now I am ready to be an FBI agent."
"Okay fine. But did they tell you what unit will you be in?"
"Not yet. Maybe later. Ok, I have to go now I have to enter the tube." the tube is the year's new version of the elevator where only a single person can enter and will zoom to the building floor you want to go.
"Okay, good luck and talk to you later. I love you." Scully said.
"Love you," Aira said as she hung up the phone and entered the tube.
Then arrived 10 seconds later on the 38th floor where the room director of the FBI was.
"Okay, here we go."
She entered the room. Then the director came in. They introduced each other.
Then the director asked, "Are you familiar with the x files unit?"
Aira smiled. Of course, she's very familiar with it. One of her mom's best friends John Doggett told her all about it. That unit was not like the other units in the FBI and most of its cases were unsolved and she was so interested about it. Some say it deals with paranormal cases, but to some FBI agents, it's like a curse when an agent is assigned there.
But to Aira, it's a privilege and an adventure. She was excited for her first assignment.
"Yes sir, I am familiar with it," she said with excitement in her voice.
It's going to be an exciting year, Aira thought.
