Chapter 11

Katelyn's pov

I sigh as i open all of the cabinets in the garage, looking closely inside each one before moving onto the next one. Unfortunately, there are no cats. I look under the table bench thing we have in there, and still, no cats. When i get up from the floor, i hear Aphmau pounding back up the stairs.

"Theres so many of them!" I hear Aphmau say as i open the door to the garage, " We should have seen them by now!" Then Celeste, Aphmau's puppy starts barking as i fully shut the door.

"Celeste? Celeste! Oh my god are you okay?" Aphmau talks to her dog as she races up the stairs. I decide to sit on the couch and stay out of it, figuring she would call for me if she needed help. After a few minutes passed, i got tired of sitting and waiting and started to pace around, occasionally glancing around for cats.

Just as I'm about to go upstairs, I hear a plunk of a cat coming down the stairs. Turning around I jump back as it meows. "Gah what! A-a-a purple cat!?" I yell in disbelief as i jump back.

"Meow meow! Meow meow meow!" The cat mewls as if its trying to communicate. I run and hide behind the smaller couch, slightly afraid as it approaches me.

"Out out Shoo! I have enough issues with the other cats!" I say and shoo the cat away, flicking my arms at it. When it doesn't seem to work, i pull out one of my claws, not to hurt it, but just enough to scare it. It seems to get the idea and turns around, running through out dining room, kitchen and office. I chase the cat just to get my point across as it starts doing circles into the office and into the kitchen in an attempt to get away from me. Finally it runs up to the door as i open it and shoo the cat out, before slamming the door shut.

Huffing, I head upstairs to see why Aphmau was taking so long. Turning the knob into her room, i look around, putting my claw away in an attempt to not scare the other cats. When i can't find Aphmau on her bed, my face contorts onto confusion.

"Aph?" I call out, " Are you in here?" After no reply, I start to get worried and check all of the rooms, including mine.

"Celeste, do you know where Aph ran off to?" I ask the dog when i returned and push through the cats to sit on Aphmau's bed with the dog, still growling at the cat horde surrounding the bed. I start to pet Celeste, still worried as to where Aphmau was. "How can she just disappear? Celeste come her girl!" I say and stand up, "Were going to find where Aphmau ran off to."

Celeste jumps excitedly as i let her out of the room, away from the cats. "At least we found the mangy things." I sigh as we go down the stairs. Celeste immediately started sniffing around the house, first into the dining room and in the kitchen and office before circling back into the kitchen. I watch with amazement as she barked and headed to the door, seeming to have caught a whiff of Aphmau.

"Well. Found something Celeste?" I ask and go to get the dogs leash. Celeste lets out a few barks in reply, circling around my legs when i pull out her leash and come over to her. Hooking the leash onto the purple collar, I set it down as I go get my black jacket from inside the closet, figuring that it was very cold outside. "Okay Celeste, lets go," I say and grab the leash again, walking out of the door.

As soon as we walk out of the door, Celeste immediately tugs on the leash towards the right path. "No Celeste, the cities the other way and Aphmau wouldn't go to Zane's house, which is in that direction," I explained to the dog, however she started barking and tugging at the leash, insisting we go over there. But I wasn't about to give up, "No Celeste! I don't want to go over there! We're stopping at the boy's house first okay?" I say as i drag the dog towards Laurance, Dante, and Garroth's house. She continues to resist the leash until we walk up to the boys door.
