viii. CALM DOWN

"Okay everyone, problem." sounded the voice of Tony Stark over the team intercom. "What, Stark?"

"I'm not with Bucky anymore. I'm with the Winter Soldier." You turned to look at Steve who was swiftly knocking out HYDRA members behind you. "How'd you let that happen?" you voiced your thoughts whilst firing a few rounds towards a pack of men coming towards you. "Well some guy started saying words in Russian over the speakers and before I knew, Metal Meathead is trying to detach my leg from my body."

You hear the sighs of the team as they all relocate to the top floor, spotting Bucky chasing Tony around the perimeter of the corridors. " I told you to listen out for Russian words, Tony. Was that so hard?"

"Well I didn't realise it was Russian until it was over." Tony panted, exhausted from dodging Bucky's punches. "For a genius you're pretty stupid." Natasha sighed before throwing herself into the fight.

Before you knew it, the whole team were trying to restrain Bucky from killing anyone.

After taking down a HYDRA agent you looked back to Bucky who was positioned over Sam, throwing his broken wing to the floor. He held his metal arm to Sam's throat and pressed with such great pressure that you could see the veins in Sam's throat begin to bulge.

"Bucky, stop." you exclaimed from across the room and all eyes snapped to you, then to Bucky, then back to you. Bucky looked at you for several seconds before releasing his grip on Sam's throat.

He stood up and offered his hand to Sam, which he accepted warily. "H-how did you do that?" Bucky asked you and the whole team looked at you expectantly. "I don't know. I don't even know what just happened."

"You stopped me."

"Are you the Natasha to his Hulk?" Tony asked in an almost teasing tone.

Bucky approached you quickly and grasped your elbow in his hand, dragging the two of you to a corner.

"You calmed me down." he said. "I guess I did. Maybe we'll have to team up more often if you're planning on going all Winter Soldier on us." Bucky let out a low chuckle and a rare smile lingered on his face.

"Maybe we will."
