WHOSE IDEA THIS WAS]

You loved Bucky and that meant that you had to love his job too. Since, S.H.I.E.L.D had become such a large part of Bucky's life, you felt it only right to support him. You, however, did not like it when Bucky was so absorbed in his work that he didn't realise you were around. Sure, paperwork was important and S.H.I.E.L.D needed their files but you really wanted Bucky to talk to you and play with your hair or watch a movie with you like he usually does.

"How much more do you have to do?" you questioned, your body sprawled out on the couch of your shared apartment as you looked up at Bucky who was sitting with his back hunched over the table and eyes planted on his work with concentration.

"Um, just a little bit more, doll." Bucky murmured, waving you off and you shut your eyes and sighed. You sighed again, much heavier. You sighed again, leaning towards Bucky's direction. You sighed again, drawing it out very very loudly. Bucky interrupted you on the last sigh, spinning his chair around to face you.

"What, what's wrong?" He set down his pen and you, suddenly, felt very guilty. "Nothing, I'm just being annoying. I'm sorry." you smiled sweetly, standing from your couch and walking towards the kitchen.

Bucky stopped you by pulling your arm back and, with ease, he sat you in his lap. His right hand rubbed small circles on your back whilst his left hand rested on your thigh.

"I'll be done soon. I promise." With that, he kisses your cheek and you stood up again. Sure you were kinda (just a little bit) upset because it had been days since Bucky started this work but you understood that he had to get it done.

"I know, Buck." you reassured, poking his side. His eyes darted up to you and he winced in pain. "Oh my gosh, I'm sorry what happened."

"Nothing that's just where I got shot, recently."

"Oh my gosh, Buck, I didn't mean-"

You paused looking up at Bucky before furrowing your eyebrows. He hadn't been out on the field for a really long time and you'd think you'd remember him telling you if he'd been shot.

"Hold on a second." You barely had time to defy Bucky's statement as his pained expression turned to a smirk. He picked you up from the floor and planted you back onto the couch, his body hovering above yours.

"I can't believe you fell for that, you'd be a terrible agent."

"Hey!" you snapped, poking Bucky's side again. "Oh, now it's on." Bucky began tickling you as you kicked around and his smile grew each time you laughed. You tried to fight back by poking Bucky's side but it seemed he was too fast and managed to keep dodging you. Stupid super soldiers.

"Tell me you love me and I'm great and you'll marry me one day and I'll stop."

"Never." you responded, still giggling furiously. Bucky kept tickling you and you were struggling to breathe as tears of laughter pooled in your eyes.

"Fine, I'll keep going."

"N-no, okay, fine. I love you, you're great and one day, I'll marry you." He stopped tickling you but remained looking into your eyes, with his body on top of yours.

"Thank the heavens. I don't think I'd marry anyone else."

You giggled, your cheeks heating and you rolled over on top of Bucky. "Like I'd let you anyway."
