Trust { Niall Horan }

Chapter 24

It's been about two months now since I told Riley to stay away from me. She's texted me almost everyday trying to get an answer from me but I won't reply. She's stopped by the apartment a few times as well but Jase has answered each time. He's still pissed at me for this but he's done arguing with me. My decision is final,  I will not be with Riley until this is over.

Some people may say that I'm just being paranoid but these last two months I've been receiving text messages from an unknown number. From time to time it'll have a picture of me attached or Jase and one of the other boys. The pictures would never have anything else attached to them. 

I tried to talk to Jase about it but he wouldn't have it. The only people who would actually listen and believed me was Harry and Louis. I had gotten closer to them since they were really the only ones to understand why I left Riley. We had discussed everything this unknown number would send me. We still weren't sure who could possibly be doing all of this but we had a pretty damn good guess.

So we were going to test something out just to be sure. If it was indeed who we thought it was then this would surely work and drag them out. "Are you sure this will work?" Louis asks while sitting on Harrys lap. We were talking about the plan that was set to go into action in about an hour or so.

I just nod checking my phone. "Of course. If it's Rue then her seeing me with another girl will set her off. Plus you two will be there." I say shrugging my shoulders not really caring for this so called date considering who was going to help us out. I didn't really have another choice.

From Avery 🖕🏻: "Coffee shop like old times 😏"

To Avery 🖕🏻: "You know I'm only doing this so I can get Riley back."

I said nothing more to her. I just knew if Riley found out about this she'd probably either get pissed or hurt over it or both. I wouldn't have time to explain myself so this had to be done with careful precision.

"Let's head out. I want to get there early." I mutter to the two boys who were currently making out but neither of them moved. They were too engrossed in each other to notice me.

I try to get their attention again but I fail. We really needed to go so I do the only thing I can think of. "Guys I can't find the cat!" I shout and Harry is instantly off of Louis beside me.

"What? What about my baby?" He says frowning at me clearly worried about his cat but it soon turns into a small when the cat comes walking out from the kitchen.

Louis let's out a little whimper looking over at Harry. "Of course the damn cat would be your baby." He says with a bit of sass behind it.

"Guys come on, let's go before you two start swapping spit again." I say making a disgusted face while I walk out the door.

"Yeah, yeah." They both mumble following right behind me.

I really wish I could've found someone other than Avery to go on this date with considering we have a history. A long one at that. Avery and I dated for about five years but when we reached our second year of college we started to have issues. She started sleeping around with people but that didn't bother me at first because I was doing the same thing. What finally made me go over the edge was when I came home to her fucking someone in my bed. 

Yeah I know what you're thinking, I shouldn't of cared since we were both sleeping around but that was my bed. Ever since then I would just call her up whenever I needed sex but when I met Riley and started to get close with her I told Avery I was done. Like completely done, no sleeping around with another anymore. No more contact with each other which didn't settle well with her. Avery has hated Riley ever since and I knew she only agreed to this date hoping to sleep with me in the end.
