Trust { Niall Horan }

Chapter 16

The drive to iHop was quite, Jase and Liam had dozed off in the back on the way there while Niall and I just held a small conversation. Something was off with him but he wouldn't let on to what it was so I decided to just let it go for now.

"Jase, Liam wake up. We're here." I say gently shaking them when we pull into the parking lot. It wasn't very crowded so I was thankful for that, I didn't like big crowds that much. I then turned my attention back to the guys who were now walking inside.

Jase and Liam were still a little groggy when we walked inside but as soon as they smelled all the food they were wide awake. "You two are such fat asses." I say laughing softly walking beside Niall to our seats. He hasn't really said much since we got here.

When we sat down at our table a waitress who looked to be in her 20s came to take our orders. "So what would you guys like?" She asked looking over at Jase and Liam who couldn't keep their eyes off her. "Oh we'd like some chocolate and banana crepes along with some tea." Liam answers after a moment of silence for him and Jase.

"Okay and for you two?" She says turning to Niall and I but she instantly locks her gaze on Niall. She was staring insanely hard at him and it was beginning to annoy me. "We'll have some banana pancakes and tea. Oh also I almost forgot but she's allergic to lemons so don't put any in her tea please and I don't want any either." Niall says to her shrugging off her looks as he wraps an arm around me to bring me closer to him.

The waitress nods writing down what he says to her before she walks off telling us that our food would be out shortly. "Did anyone else notice the hot blonde eyeing Niall?" Jase blurts out but he quickly covers his mouth as if remembering I was here as well with them.

Liam elbows Jase in his arm making him yelp out in pain. He frowns looking at his friend beside him before he looks over at us. Niall was glaring at him once the words left his mouth and Jase seems to shrink into his seat. "The only girl I've noticed is mine, I have no need to notice any others." He says coolly before he laces our fingers together while placing a soft kiss on my cheek.

"Sorry I was just saying." Jase mumbles as he rubs his arm not looking up at any of us. He really did act like a child at times, he was sulking. Nobody said a word after that, everyone just sat there in silence while we waited for our food. It was a comfortable silence.

After about 15 minutes of waiting our food finally arrived and it smelled delicious. The waitress set all of it down in front of us and then she sets our drinks down. When she gives me my tea I notice that it has lemons in it. "I can't drink this, I'm allergic to lemon." I say softly looking at her, I know she heard Niall when he told her but clearly she didn't care. If I drank this now I'd break out and my throat would start to close up.

The girl just tilts her head to the side looking at Niall, "Oh I didn't know." She says shrugging her shoulders before picking up the glass of tea and setting it on the tray she had. "I'll get you another." She then turns to walk away but Niall stops her short. "Don't bother, she can share with me. I'd rather she do that than have an allergic reaction due to your ignorance." He spat the last part causing the waitress to jump a bit from the sudden change of tone.

Once she was gone Niall made sure everything else on my plate was fine by switching our food. I knew she only did that because she's interested in Niall but putting my safety at risk is childish. I decided to let it go and ate my food. The pancakes were absolutely amazing, it's been forever since I actually had one this good. No wonder why this was Niall's favorite place to eat.

Jase and Liam made quick work with their food soon followed by Niall who excused himself to go to the restroom. "I'll be right back." He says giving me a small smile and a light kiss on the lips before getting up and walking off. I still felt like something was wrong with him but I had no idea what it could be.
