Trust { Niall Horan }

Chapter 29

"Go Liam." I say softly to him opening the door for him. He just nods and walks out not looking back at me. I quietly shut the door behind him before walking back into my living room sitting on the couch replying what just happened in my mind. Liam showed up and told me how he felt and then we briefly made out and I liked it. I was so confused. I loved Niall more than anything but here was Liam. I knew I didn't want to be with him but it was just confusing. The one thing I did know though was that I had to tell Niall what happened. There was no way around it, I planned on telling him once he was home. I had gotten a call from him saying his father bailed him out so he'd be home in a bit. What scared me was that I had no clue how he'd react to all of this. I didn't know if he'd get angry and lose control or if he'd keep a cool head about all of this.

So here I was worrying myself to death about weather or not my boyfriend is gonna flip or not. I needed to calm myself down before he got here. I knew he'd come here first instead of going to his place and that's when I heard a knock at the door jarring me from my thoughts.

"Coming!" I call out as I hop up from the couch padding over to the door. I figured it was Niall but normally he'd just use his key that he had and walk right in. I waited a few moments for a response but don't get one. I shrug my shoulders and open the door expecting it to be my boyfriend but who I saw standing on the other side wasn't who I had expected.

"Riley." She says with a slight smile across her face.

"Rue.." I breath out as anger starts to take over. She was the one who had caused Niall and I to break up. She was the bitch who was determined to marry him and I was the one who was standing in the way.

"May I come in?" She says to me as she pushes her way past me not waiting for an answer.

I grit my teeth together and force a small smile. "What brings you here?" I ask as I shut the door walking back to the living room.

"Oh ya know the usual. Break up with Niall or you'll regret it." Rue says as a small laugh escapes her lips giving me a devilish grin.

"Me? I'd never leave him." I scoff rolling my eyes at her. She was insane thinking I could just leave him.

Rue shakes her head smiling, "Little miss Riley, you better do as I say or harm will come to someone close to you." She says making her way back over to the front door getting ready to leave.

I walk over with her going to open it for her ignoring what she had said but just as I'm about to open the door its flung open as a deep voice fills the room. "Yo Riles you got anymore Oreos and hey what the hell are you doing here?!" Jase rushes out when he comes face to face with Rue. Of course he'd be here for food but now this just meant he could get her to leave a lot easier than I could.

Rue gives him a flirtatious smile before speaking to him. "Oh well hello there handsome and who might you be?" She says holding her hand out for him to shake.

Jase rolls his eyes at her shaking his head. "I'm Niall and Rileys best friend. I assume you're the cunt bag who's trying to break them up." He says the last part coldly before walking over to me draping his arm around my shoulder. I watch as Rue's face falls at this but she quickly regains her composure smirking at him.

"We'll see who ends up with Niall in the end." She says before turning and waking out of my apartment finally.

I let a small sigh of relief leave my body as I slump against Jase. I already had to tell Niall about Liam and now here came Rue trying to threaten me. What was next? I mean honestly what was. My life was so much more less complicated when I lived with my father aside from the constant beatings. At least I didn't have some crazy bitch just showing up at my front door.

"Now back to what I was saying earlier." Jase says with a low chuckle trying to lighten the mood.

I give him a simple smile before pulling him with me to the kitchen. "Ya know your girlfriend should start buying you these and not me." I say jokingly as I pull out the Oreos and peanut butter handing it to a very happy Jase.

"But you're my favorite girl so I've got to come to you." Jase says happily as he opens the Oreos and peanut butter up dipping the Oreos into the jar before stuffing them into his mouth. I swear he could live off of this if he had to. The amount at which he ate all of it was ridiculous. I'd get sick after eating about four of them but Jase here could eat the whole pack and then finish off the jar of peanut butter by himself. Sometimes I wondered where he'd store all this food he'd eat.

I just roll my eyes at him playfully before walking back into my room to grab a video game and then walking back out into the living room plopping down on the couch. "Whatcha got there?" Jase says walking over to me before taking the game from me. It was his absolute favorite game so I knew he'd get excited over it.

"RI THIS IS BO3 WORLD AT WAR ZOMBIES OMIGOSH YOU KNOW I LOVE THIS!" Jase screams in excitement jumping up and down. Sometimes I swore he was a little kid trapped in a grown mans body.

"I know you do. That's why I bought it the other day for you." I say a bit sheepishly. He was my best friend so of course I was going to get him gifts from time to time.

"You're the best Riles!" He says almost dropping his Oreos and peanut butter in a rush to put the game in. I let a small chuckle leave my lips as he grabs two controllers tossing one over to me. "Play with me? Pleaseeeeee." He begs getting down on both his knees in front of me.

I try to hold in my laughter while looking at him. "Sure. I'll play for just a little bit." I say making him jump back up to his feet his eyes full of joy. He wasn't a hard person to please which I loved so much.

So we started playing the game and of course I was the first one to go down. "Riley! Come on you've gotta do better than that!" Jase says trying to hold back a laugh but I could tell by his face it wasn't working.

"Sorry I've never played before." I say pouting a bit to make him feel bad but it didn't work.

"Don't try to pull that one on me Woods." He says before re starting the round for me.

I just roll my eyes dramatically at him going back to the game but we don't get to play much longer when my door opens up and a deep Irish voice fills the room. "Loveeee I miss youuuu." Niall whines as he walks into the living room but stops short when he sees Jase with me. I thought he was going to have him leave so it was just Niall and I but I was wrong.

"Dude you're playing without me?!" Niall says hoping over the back of the couch sitting down beside me wrapping an arm around my waist pulling me closer to him. "I'm hurt." He says clutching his chest to add affect to his words.

I let out a small laugh leaning against him handing him my controller. "Here you play with him. I wasn't much good anyways." I say shrugging my shoulders as I make myself comfortable against him. We could talk later, right now him and Jase could play the game. Besides I needed more time to think to get my words in order.

"Alright Daniels prepare to be astonished!" Niall says as a deep laugh leaves his lips shaking my body a bit. I just cuddle up next to him and close my eyes letting slew take over while the boys played their game.
