Hayden*
After I told Matty about the money, he just stared at me like I was insane. He didn't believe me, so I should him the duffle bag, and then I think he cried a little.
But he promised the money would not be touched unless it was for an emergency, both our money was to be put away in accounts that would only be allowed to be open, if we consulted with each other, and agreed that it was okay to take money out.
I wasn't going to let Emily or Alex be in charge of the money, until my dad comes back, I'll be in charge of both mine and Matty's money.
It was the first day of suspension, which meant we were going to the fair. I wasn't going to tell Emily and Leroy them about our plan to go on a trip to Australia until after school. Or rather after the fair.
"You ready?" Leroy called out from his room.
"We're going together?" I asked, I grabbed my side bag and walked out the room. I really didn't want to go to the fair, I just wanted to stay at home but whatever.
"Obviously." Leroy said walking towards me, and looked at me like I was dumb.
"Gosh, I was only asking." I said, while I rolled my eyes and walked down the stairs.
It was still pretty early, so we couldn't go to the fair just yet. Which meant we had to wait around in the park at least until eleven am.
We walk into the kitchen together, Alex and Emily were already seated with paper work everywhere on the desk with their coffees. They don't notice when we walk in.
I grab two bottle's of water from the fridge, and chuck on over to Leroy. He catches it and chucks me back a cereal bar.
"Thanks." I said whilst I sip the water.
"You're welcome." He replied ruffling my hair, so I push him away.
"Uh, Leroy?"
Our attention diverts to Alex's direction, as he called out. Leroy looks at him, waiting for a response. "Yeah?" He said, eating his cereal bar.
"You're not leaving until you have a proper breakfast." Alex said shifting his body towards Alex, and away from his paper work. Emily's expression was the same as always, like she hated him. I wonder if they were happily married, or they actually hated each other.
"I'm not hungry, papa." Leroy said finishing his cereal bar off and chucking the wrapper away.
Alex get's up from his seat and walks closer to Leroy, he places his hand in front of Leroy so he cant leave. What was his problem? I hated him.
"You have a game coming up soon. Don't forget that, I don't want you losing your spot in the Tennis tournament." Alex said with his fingers digging into Leroy's chest. "Eat." He snarled.
I look at Leroy. Leroy's face was tensed, but it didn't look like he was about to eat, a few seconds later of Leroy and Alex staring at each other tensely, Alex takes a seat back on his chair.
Without saying another word, Leroy walks out of the kitchen and grabs me by the wrist when he walks past me. "You're not going to eat?" I asked, looking back at his dad who was now on his feet, with an expression that I did not feel comfortable being around.
"Am I fuckin' hungry?" Leroy asked, but I had a feeling he wasn't talking to me but his dad, although his dad couldn't hear him from here.
I ignore him and shake myself off him as we leave the house, walking a few steps away from Leroy, I walk towards the park. I didn't want to be around him whilst he was angry.
