After a while of hanging out in the beach Leroy took me to a restaurant that was quite far so we could be away from everyone. Matty and Carlos hadn't spoken to us since everything, maybe they felt too awkward too, who knows. It was 9pm on a Sunday night and I was drained, my tiredness was ready to take over. I hum quietly tapping the window still, my legs crossed tightly I lean against the wall of my bedroom.

"Are you listening, Hayden?"

"Hm?" I say with a squeaky voice, looking up at Mellissa who was pacing around the room shaking her hands as she spoke. I wasn't too sure what she was talking about but she looked uncomfortable.

"You just need to understand you're only a teenager and love will come again." Mellissa says sympathetically crouching down to reach my level.

I bounce my eyebrows. "That doesn't help." I mutter quietly.

She takes a deep breath, I watch her close her eyes deeply for a long second. She straightens her pencil skirt before she takes a seat onto the floor beside me. Uncomfortably she clears her throat. "Your dad has requested to finish his probation off here, and the judge will consider his offer on Friday, if the judge accepts his offer then he will be able to stay and you won't have to go." Mellissa says carefully watching each of her words.

"What?" I say quietly, my brows rising in sync with the hair on my body. Was she being for real? I turn my body to face her and get on my knees excitedly. "What?!" I say again in a more cheerful tone.

"ONLY if the judge accepts and that isn't likely, but there's a chance." Mellissa tightens her jaws.

"There's still a chance!" I say with a grin on my face, the lump on my heart suddenly disappears making it easier for me to breathe again properly.

"Remember when I used to hate you?" I mummer, my face resting in my arms that were placed on the table. It was second period of biology and I wasn't in the mood to listen or learn.

"You never hated me, you loved me." Leroy says with a breathy laugh.

I scoff. "I did love you, but I also hated you." I shaking my head.

"I actually miss chasing you and teasing you." Leroy says poking my arms. I pick my head up slowly from my arms

"You mean you miss being a jerk to me." I roll my eyes.

Leroy grins. "I didn't say that." Leroy imitates my facial expression. I frown and push him away from me.

"Do you want to get out of here?" Leroy asks quietly, looking around the class. Everyone was talking in quite tones and no one was doing work, I look over and see Eden was talking to Troy, no one was working, so why should we stay here?

I think for a second, Leroy stares at me waiting for an answer. "Where would we go?" I ask quietly.

"New York." Leroy says nodding his head lightly.

"We're really doing this, huh?" I say feeling slightly breathless.

"Yup, I've written the note and stuck it on the fridge also gave the boys a text and left a couple hundred dollars with them for food and what not." Leroy smiles. "We got our bags, with everything and some food and cash." Leroy points at everything pointing at the trunk.

I nod tightly." I can't believe we're going all the way to new York in your car, my dads going to go insane." I say feeling nervous now.

Leroy comes inside his car and shuts the door. "It's only for three days, it's fine." Leroy grins. "Let the six hour drive begin, baby." Leroy says excitedly, turning his engine on.
