It had been two weeks since Emily, my step-mother had reached out to Hayden and Matty. I know they must be wondering why she hasn't called them, or asked about them after saying she wants to be involved in their life. I hadn't spoken to Hayden either, not after I realised her and Lucas were a real couple.

It pissed me off, seeing both of them walking together with his hand in hers. Where my hands should be, he would purposely kiss her soft lips in front of me and call her novia, like he was purposely stealing her from me.

But today, I have to go over to her house. To talk to her because Emily said so. Kate opened the door for me, walking in I give a small smile to her. I give Matty the –wassup- nod with my head, I don't really speak to Matty much, mainly because he's such an annoying little perra.

After waving them both off, I jog up the stairs to Hayden's room. Her room was the first one, beside the stairs so I didn't have to look much for her room, because I've never gone to her room before.

I stand there quietly, her room was quite big of course not as big as mine, with a regular double bed in the middle with fairly lights surrounding it. Above her bed was a massive wall with photos of her and Eden and that dick Isaac. And some of celebrities who I have no idea are, with the other wall covered in books, and the one opposite of it, full of what seems to be classic records.

"Hi." I say coming closer to her.

She instantly takes her headphones off and looks at me with as though I'm a bugler. When she realises it's me, she lets her guard down and becomes less tense. Her legs looked amazing in those shorts, I roll my attention away from her legs and look at her face, this isn't the time to tease her.

She doesn't look at me though; her eyes were fixated on the biology book she was reading. This girl does work all the time?

I know she thinks I hate her because she's my step-mom's real daughter, but that's not true at all. But I let her believe that, it's easier than telling her that my dad doesn't want us to be together.

"Emily sent me." I say softly, trying not to sound bitter.

Her head instantly pops up, her beady eyes eager to know what her mom was saying about her. I've never realised how hard this is for her, not having a mom. Having to grow up with a dad and no female figure, how could I have been so selfish?

"What'd she want?" Hayden says, trying to act like she doesn't care but with that much emotion in her words, I was sure she was going to cry.

"Jus' to check on you. I need to tell you somethin'..." I say slowly, whilst taking a seat near her. I know her Aunt was going to tell her soon, but my excitement wouldn't calm down unless I told her.

She doesn't reply, so I carry on talking. "Your aunt Kate, she was meant to tell you, but whatever, basically she's moving back to Australia." I see the worry and anger grow in Hayden's eyes, before she can talk I carry on.

"She gotta take care of some stuff, she hasn't got the money to take you guys with her. You gotta talk to her 'bout that." I say biting my lips, I couldn't stand the look on her face, she looked heartbroken.

"W-w-what?" She says with her voice breaking and her eyes turning glassy. "What's going to happen to me and Matty? I don't want Aunt Kate to go." Hayden looks down at her closed biology book, her legs now crossed on her bed.

"That's the thing Chica, I'm here to tell you that you're going to live with us." I say with a wide smile on my face. She may be with Lucas, but at the end of the day she'll be mine.
