The rest of the school day passed in a blur. Twice Gabriel saw Sam and couldn't stop to talk and thrice Gabriel saw Sam and wanted to stop but the Winchester didn't see him.

Gabriel always rode home with his little brother, Castiel. Cas was the quiet type, a lot like Sam. He always wore a heavy, beige trench coat, regardless of the weather. Despite being brothers, Castiel couldn't look more different from Gabriel. Cas's dark, luscious sex-hair was the polar opposite of Gabe's honey-colored hair. And Cas's bright blue eyes contrasted Gabe's own caramel ones.

Gabriel's older brother, Lucifer, always picked the two up from school after his shift at Devilishous, the local burger joint. Yes, Lucifer worked at Devilishous. Gabriel was pretty sure that they only hired him because of his name, what with he having absolutely no work ethic or skills of any sort.

Anyway, Gabriel climbed into Lucifer's car, an old and peeling blue Camino. Cas was already there. "Took you long enough," Cas grumbled.

"Sorry, Cassy."

Cas mumbled something along the lines of, "don't call me Cassy."

Lucifer eased away from the curb. "We're going to Devilishous for Cas's birthday dinner."

"Oh yeah. Happy birthday, Cassy!" Gabriel threw a lollipop at Cas without warning.

"Thanks." Cas mumbled.

As Lucifer drove around the parking lot, Gabriel noticed someone. It was Sam. He was sitting on the curb, a phone to his ear.

"Luce, Go pick up that kid."

"Who? The tall one?"

"Who else is sitting there?"

The Camino drove over to Sam. Gabriel popped open the door. "Heya, Samwich. What's shakin'?"

"I missed the bus." He said.

"Do you want a ride?" Gabriel asked.

Sam sighed. "I'm trying to call my brother to pick me up, but he isn't answering. Yeah, I probably need a ride."

Gabriel opened the back door. "Then after you, Sammy."

Sam picked up his bag and climbed in the car.

"Well who's this?" Lucifer asked.

Gabriel climbed in the passenger seat. "This is my friend Sammy."

"My name is Sam."

"Samwich."

"Sam."

"Samantha."

"Sam."

"Samsquatch."

"Sam."

"Samoose."

"No."

"Why not? I like Samoose."

"I don't."

"Alright you two." Lucifer said. He turned to Sam. "I'm Lucifer." Sticking a finger at Cas, he said, "that's Cas."
