Paradise
They ignored the naysayers.
They disregarded the danger signs.
They tuned out their own incapacitating fears,
And marched into the wild, unexplored woods,
And found paradise.
2.
Placebo
I was your painkiller,
That vanquished your inner demons,
Sucked out every drop of agony from your bloodstream,
And made you feel whole again.
But the moment you realised
That you were in remission,
You cast me off as if,
I was just another placebo.
3.
God
He said, 'I don't believe in God',
She pouted at him and retorted,
'But I do! How can,
The universe exist without God?'
But the truth was, he did believe in Him,
He had found God,
In his love for her.
4.
Rewind
Society MUTED her,
Her family DELETED her,
From their circle.
Her husband pressed PAUSE,
On her dreams.
But she was brave enough,
To press REWIND, on her life.
