....and the next time you feel like you're spending your life just waiting for a miracle to happen, I want you to look at yourself.
You. A living, breathing, sentient being. Ten fingers. Ten toes. And one indestructible spirit.
Your imperfect skin clothes you, keeping your heat and protecting you in ways you don't know. Nerve endings in every inch of your skin allowing you to feel. Your powerful muscles contract and relax, enabling you to walk and run and sprint towards your dreams.
Your blood, a scarlet fluid wonder rushing through you, replenishing you. Your indefatigable heart pulsating and throbbing since your conception, never pausing for a break. Your oxygen inflated lungs keeping you alive.
Your liver, alchemist extraordinaire, converting your poisons into blessings. Your army of white blood cells, clad in armour, bravely keeping you safe from afflictions. Your brain, though made of the same substance as everyone else's, creates thoughts, impulses, fantasies and art unique to you and you alone.
Can't you see it? How when you cut yourself, you bleed, but then a clot is formed? There's a perfect system in place, to repair you. To rejuvenate you. And everyday cells are shed off and replaced with new ones. You are reborn everyday.
Think of it. The symmetry of your creation. The sacred glory of your physiology. How the interaction of some submicroscopic molecules make you what you are.The unspeakable beauty of it. The marvel of it. The stunning complexity. And yet the simplicity.
So, the next time you feel like you're just spending your life waiting for a miracle to happen, I want you to look at yourself.
You are the miracle. You are the miracle you're waiting for.
