While I saw classrooms
In you
An opportunity to learn
And love and be strong
You saw exam halls in me
Full of fear, guesses and questions.

Gold
Red blood in her arteries
Blue blood in her veins
But her wholehearted optimism
Made me believe
Her blood must be tinted gold.
