Chapter 32: No Touching

1 week later.

Freeda snorted, hand going straight to her face as she tried her hardest not to burst out laughing incredibly hard in her friend's face. Trying to shut up when Kai shushed her, whining as she sat on the couch, Freeda pursed her lips, feeling the need to explode.

"It's not funny," Kai scolded, her eyes glaring over at her friend.

Freeda straightened her back, crossing her arms over her chest. "The man gave you a ring and a letter confessing his love for you while drunk, only to wake up the next morning and throw up in shock over you wearing the ring...kinda funny."

Kai twitched uncomfortable on the couch. "He threw up because he was hungover," she tried to defend, swallowing lightly at the memory of waking up next to an extremely shocked and awkward Shawn. She had never seen him so painfully awkward before until that morning.

"What the letter say?" Freeda chimed, grinning hugely as her curiosity took the best of her.

Kai sighed. "Just all that he's felt and had been feeling while he disappeared and left," she said softly, feeling the sudden urge to cry, "he got job offers all over Korea, while he was gone he was saving for our son. He was fucking saving for our son, bank accounts open and everything, and I was here fucking Jimin?"

"Don't sell yourself short like that Kai," Freeda scolded, knowing that her friend was upset and hurting. But this wasn't the way to cope with it, she wasn't the only one to blame for what happened...

"He kept mumbling about me being with Jimin. With Jimin? Why would he think that, let alone have himself believe that?" Kai mumbled irritated, rubbing over her huge belly in attempts to calm herself down.

"Well would you like to be with Jimin?" Freeda asked curiously, not entirely sure where her friend stood with this entire twisted ordeal.

Kai shook her head, "I don't want to be with anyone at this point. If me being with no one helps Shawn and Jimin slowly form their friendship again then I'll stay away." She was still rubbing securely at her baby bump.

"That's noble of you," Freeda sighed out, grabbing hints over what her friend might be hiding when it came to feelings. She's in love with Shawn, she sighed internally, rolling her eyes over the fact that her friend had to keep it bottled up for so long. "But you controlling your thirsty vag isn't going to magically help the boys suddenly become friends again. Jimin slept with Shawn's baby mama. That's hard to come back from so easily and so quickly."

Kai pouted. "I just wish there was a way for everything to go back to normal you know?" she sighed, rubbing at her face now and not her stomach, "I miss Shawn. I miss being with him...I miss everything about him."

Freeda's eyes softened as she stood before her friend in their once shared apartment. That was until Shawn asked Kai to come and stay with him until the baby had arrived into the world...and that was very soon, Freeda noted mentally, staring down at the big baby bump Kai had, she looks like she's going to pop any second.

"Waking up in his arms that morning," Kai spoke softly, moving a strand of hair behind her ear as she let her emotions get the best of her in that moment, "I hadn't slept so nicely in so long. Drunk or not, I didn't want to let him go even when morning struck."

"I'm sorry," Freeda said softly, pursing her lips softly as she smiled at her best friend in reassurance.

"You don't have to be sorry," Kai said slowly, "you did nothing wrong. The three of us fucked each other over."

"Literally," Freeda chimed, laughing when Kai cracked a tiny smile at that before whining in annoyance again.

"I wish I could just tinkle bell this situation and suddenly make everything magically alright again," Kai sighe, struggling as she stood up from the low couch. She almost fell off of it but managed to catch her clumsy self before instantly standing onto her two feet with stability.
