Kakashi POV:
I stopped a young nurse that was passing by the plastic chairs in the hallway that we were waiting in.
"Updates on Uzumaki Naruto?" I asked her as she flipped through her clipboard.
"Just released from surgery. Physical state: Broken femur, lower leg, arm, stitches in chest, neck, cheek, forehead, hips, and possible brain damage. Mental state: unknown."
I swallowed hard. I looked to my right and saw Jiraiya looking heartbroken.
The great toad sage finally spoke up "W-when... Can we see him?" He stuttered.
"He should be ready about now. Follow me." She said and started walking down a long corridor. "He's in the ICU." She explained.
I don't think either of us were prepared for what we were about to see.
Tubes ran all through my little students body. This included a breathing tube, feeding tube, 4 IVs, a cathedar, a heart rate monitor, and a brain wave monitor.
His skin was so pale and he looked so weak. His white looking hair matched the pale purple hospital gown that he was put into. Jiraiya and I both pulled up chairs and stared at him for a long time.
