So Proud

"Yeah, you messed these up pretty good," James mumbled, gently placing the ice against my fingers.

He untied my hands to treat them. I didn't know wether to feel grateful, or disgusted.

Mostly disgusted.

Although, I was a little thankful for him helping me. The pain hurt so much, that I wanted anyone to help. Even my captor.

I watched as he gently brushed his lips against the back of my hand. I felt my ears heat up as he lifted away from his kiss.

"A kiss makes it all better, right?" he smiled, wiping away a tear on my cheek. "Stop crying, for me Jordy?"

I bit on my bottom lip to hold back the tears.

James wants me to stop crying.

What the hell am I doing?

James is the enemy here, I don't owe him anything!

I bit harder on my bottom lip, causing a few more tears to crawl out of my eyes.

James leaned towards my face, kissing my forehead.

"They'll heal soon," he said, holding onto my hands, securing the ice in place with gauze.

"Now," James said, looking me in the eyes. "What should you never do?"

What does that mean?

"I-I don't know..." I mumbled.

He slapped me across the face.

"Wrong. I'm going to ask you again, what should you never do?"

"James, I don't know!"

Another slap numbed my face.

"What should you never do?"

"F-Fight you? I don't-"

James slammed his lips against mine.

"That's right! What should you always do?"

"Answer you?"

"Yes!" James exclaimed, kissing me again. "You're doing so good! I'm so proud of you, Jordy!"

My lips lifted into a faint smile.

I shouldn't be happy that he's proud of me.

I furrowed my eyebrows, hardening my expression.

"Baby, you're much cuter when you smile. You should smile more often," James said. "I fell in love with that smile of yours..."

I bit down on my lip to keep the blood from rushing up to my cheeks.

"What do you say?" James asked, lowering his voice.

"Thank you," I mumbled, staring down at the ground.

"That's right. I'll go get you some food, and I'll throw in dessert because you're doing so good. What would you like?" James asked, beginning to tie the rope around my wrist again.

"Can you not put the rope back on?" I whimpered.

James laughed.

"Now, Jordy, you're doing better, but not to the point where I'll trust you," he snickered. "What would you like?" he asked again, tightening the rope.

I yelped out as the rough material rubbed against my broken flesh.

"Jordy, you don't fight me," he muttered.

"But it hurts..." I whined.

James lifted my shorts, exposing my scars.

"Do you think you deserve another scar, cause I think you do," he hissed.

"B-but-"

"With the way you're acting right now, you're getting three more," he said, finishing the knot behind me.

He lifted a chain around his neck, exiting the room.

He keeps the key around his neck.

"I'll be back," he mumbled.

I waited in silence.

If he keeps the chain around his neck, I'm going to have to get his shirt off again. The only time he's taken it off around me was when he was about to rape me.

James returned, shutting the door behind him.

He had a plate in one hand, and a small knife in the other.

He sat the plate on the ground next to him.

He looked up at me, frowning.

"I really thought you were doing better, Jordy..." he sighed, lifting the green material away from my skin.

"Wait, James-"

"You don't fight me."

I let out a scream as the cold blade pressed into my skin.

I squeezed my eyes together to avoid looking at the new cut he made.

I already had too many there, and now he was adding more.

"You answer me, when I want to be answered."

"STOP! PLEASE!"

I opened my eyes, looking down at my stinging thigh.

Dots of blood escaped through the thin cut, dribbling down the flesh as they became too heavy.

"Never, ever fight me."

The last slice burned, as James dragged it longer than the others.

I had gotten so used to this pain at one point. It felt so different now. I had gotten weaker.

"You deserved these, Jordan. If you listen to me and obey my rules, you won't need anymore, understand?"

"Yes, James."
