Betrayed

I trashed around my chair until I could feel warm blood trickle down my ankles.

It felt like hours since James left.

The room seemed much brighter now. I could see one wooden door amongst the chiseled, cement bricks.

Action movies depicted rope as being much easier to get out of.

The salty taste of my own sweat danced on my taste buds.

Someone had to be looking for me.

Tom would be worried about me, so would Sonja and Tucker.

Tucker...

We got in a fight before James took me.

It's all my fault. The last words I said to him we're full of hatred.

If I had let him keep me on the phone, maybe I wouldn't be stuck here.

I jerked my head up as a bright light poured into the darkened room.

"Hello Jordy, I figured you were hungry. I got you some food," James smiled, walking over to me with a plate.

"Can you untie me so I can eat?"

"Of course not, silly!" James laughed, crouching in front of me. "I'll just feed you, open wide."

I clenched my teeth together. I wasn't going to be treated like a child.

"Jordy," James' saddened voice cooed. "Please don't fight me on this. You need to eat."

"Only if you answer my questions," I muttered through gritted teeth.

"Alright, a bite of food for an answer. Shoot."

"How long have I been here?"

"Two days, open up."

I took a bite, following his orders. A deal's a deal.

"Where am I?"

"The basement."

"Be specific."

"You asked, I answered, open up," James demanded.

"It wasn't the answer I wanted," I spat.

"Too bad, eat," James hissed.

I took the food into my mouth, chewing slowly.

"Why'd you take me?" I asked, darkly.

"Oh, this one is easy!" James chuckled, pushing his lips against my cheek. "Cause I love you!"

He shoved another bite into my mouth.

"Why'd you attack Tom?"

James rolled his eyes, thinking.

"Why do you ask?" he questioned, tracing light circles across my knee.

"Because I want to know why he didn't fight back," I mumbled, choosing my words carefully.

"Oh Jordy, I didn't want to tell you this," James sighed.

"What?"

"Tom kissed me first, I was only defending myself."

I tried to stay strong. I tried to fight back the tears escaping my eyes.

But I couldn't help it. I ducked my head down low, sobbing.

Tucker was right, Tom did cheat on me.

"Oh Jordy," James murmured, wiping away at my tears. "I'm so sorry. Let's not talk about Tom anymore, okay?"

He lifted my chin in his hands, gently moving his thumb against my cheek.

James leaned in, his hot breath tickling my neck.

I jerked my head away.

James' face hardened, staring deeply into my eyes.

"Oh, I get it. Too soon. Give you time, got it..." James brushed his shaggy hair off his forehead. "One more bite, for me?"
